Beatings, Rape, Bloody Nose - and Tanya Kekel took My Son Away - What Did She or Others Do To Him? Graham, WA 1994

The series of Julie's life as an alleged sex slave for the NTCC 'leaders' continues. This portion of her life describes more beatings, rape, and a bloody nose allegedly from Mike Kekel. But equally troubling is the alleged participation of Tanya Kekel in setting up this "alone time" for Mike and Julie, while removing Julie's son, Thomas, against Julie's protests. We may never know what took place that day in his life when young Thomas disappeared with Tanya Kekel. But his actions when returned home to his battered mother Julie are very telling. It was horrible enough to suffer the alleged rapes and beatings; but now they were taking her son too? To do what? Julie alleges she took a beating for begging to have her son with her that day in 1994 at Kekel's home in Graham, Washington. In Julie's words:

We get to Washington. Move into a place where a lot of people from NTCC were living in fact only a couple of the apartments had people that weren’t apart of NTCC. I start classes again and it was a challenge. I still had trouble with the reading and writing and taking notes. I got myself in trouble a few times because of it. I hadn’t been in Washington but a few weeks before I was called to supposedly help Tanya [Kekel] but she wasn’t the one asking [Mike] Kekel was the one. I get a ride over there he had told me to bring [my young son] Thomas so I thought maybe it won’t be sex or anything like that. I arrive Tanya was taking [her son] Grant [Kekel] somewhere but [allegedly] needed another child to go with her to this activity. I told her I didn’t want Thomas going without me. I didn’t like the idea of him being away from me. I didn’t tell her I didn’t trust her which was going through my mind. Kekel says remember I am in charge. God has given me the authority to know what is best for your child. I tried again but there was no winning the argument. She left with both boys. I am sick at that point fearing how my son would be treated but having no idea once again what to do. Tanya leaves me with cleaning orders. Kekel is supposed to be working on something and she says not to bother him. She isn’t gone long before Kekel is in my face. He tells me I am going to get a spanking for arguing with the man of God. I have no idea that he can’t actually do this being I am adult. He is playing on my ignorance. I am terrified for he is brutal in his spankings and I know sex will follow which with a brutal spanking sex will hurt worse. He undresses me from the waist down. I beg him not to do it. I told him as a mother I hate to be away from my son this is why I spoke. I told him it is making me sick that he is gone at that moment. He said so you admit you argued with your God-given authority. I am going to have spank the rebellion out of you. He quoted scriptures about discipline to me as he had me bend over. I didn’t undress for a few days in front of my then husband [Donny Ridgeway] not knowing how to explain the marks. This time he [Mike Kekel] gave me some stuff that made the marks disappear in a few days. It was a container with no label so I have no idea what it was. By the third day I couldn’t tell I had had any marks. All he told me was it was for adults after a spanking. Once again I was too ignore to question him. He [Mike Kekel] did have sex with me again that day. He said God sent you back to me for he knows I need additional pleasure in my life and it helps my stress level of having to deal with difficult people that refuse to obey their God-given authority.

After he was done I clean up really quickly fearing if I didn’t get the cleaning orders done Tanya would spank me as well. She had spanked me in the past. I didn’t think with a sick stomach, stress, a spanking, and unwanted sex my body could take another spanking. So I began to move very quickly with the cleaning.

Tanya walks in the door I just barely got done. Thomas comes barreling at me wanting to be held in fact he wanted to be held until I went to class that night. All he said about the day was Tanya was rude. Tanya walked around the house complained a couple of times but said nothing more. So I went home to get dinner and get ready for class that night.

I was so overwhelmed. I couldn’t focus on class that night which led me to typing crazy notes since I had nothing to go on for them.

This scene played a 6 more times while I was in my second round of being at “the cemetery”. I would be called to the Kekels to cleaning and bless the leaders. The things I saw and witnessed with these leaders are just sickening including finding Kekel’s playboy collection.

 alleges, spankings / beatings would follow. 

Kekel would tell me all the time how God had given me unto him. It made it hard not to view him unclothed. It also made it difficult to have to ask his permission about other things. I was left to carry this weight having to pretend I wasn't hurting inside. I wanted to have someone care to know the pain my heart was in. I would be around the ladies including one of my neighbors who faithfully took me grocery shopping yet I was scared into silence on the matter. I tried to tell Joan but of course Kekel found out. I was accused of lying. I began to think I was commenting adultery the more I listened to things said at Graham. I was confused since Kekel would say it was God’s will but in the next breath he would accuse me of sinning for making him long for my body. He told me he even dreamed of sex with me at night. I had no idea he was the one sinning and he was commenting a crime.

Two of the times he went off the normal course and had me do oral sex instead of on all four. He said he needed this instead because there were bible school students that were stressing him way out and his wife didn’t want to do it. He would talk about people during our time together. He would talk bad about the building crew, bible school students, he would say all the people that work on the campground were dumb a—air heads and the women were the worst. I had no idea who was at the campground all I thought is well he seems to think of them the same he feels about me. He even downed some of the leaders. He would name people and ask if I had had sex with them. No matter the answer I gave it was the wrong one and he would accuse me of lying and slap me I was standing for this. One of times that he slapped me I tripped causing my nose to hit something. I ended up with a bloody nose. When asked about it since I had a small bruise I said I tripped and hit my nose which was only part of what happened.

There is probably more details that aren’t coming to mind at this point about these times in Graham but will come to me later.

All of this is so horrible. We can not imagine how Julie survived this life. Only the grace of God could bring somebody through this constant cycle of allegedly being treated as a sex slave. And now with these allegations coming to light about Tanya participating, it is even worse.

Tanya Reynolds Davis Kekel was born to a Filipino woman, Elizabeth Reynolds, who gave her up for adoption. Davis raised her in the NTCC, constantly bellowing out his version of holiness- NEVER BE ALONE WITH SOMEONE OF THE OPPOSITE SEX [gender].

• Why would Tanya orchestrate this alone-time for her hubby Mike with Julie St. Clair?
• Why didn't Tanya respect Julie's protests and leave Thomas with Julie - his mother?
• Where did Tanya take Thomas?
• What happened to Thomas?
• Why was he clingy - "wanting to be held"?
• Why did he say Tanya was "rude"?
• In an earlier post, Julie described Mike Kekel as being "rude".  Since then Julie has shared that allegedly Kekel's "rude" behavior included spankings / beatings and raping her.
• Did Thomas' description of Tanya cover equally ugly behavior by Tanya (the spankings and rapes) that Julie's description of Kekel covered of Mike's behavior? Is that what "rude" means? - A violent sexual predator? We have to wonder.

None of this makes any sense in a so-called holiness church that beat their drums about never being alone with someone of the opposite sex. Unless the leaders are all hypocrites; (which evidence says they are). Then it all makes sense: They say the opposite of what they do:

1. Davis said, Don't be alone with somebody of the opposite sex; but Davis was seen going into houses of women whose husbands were at work. One, Pam Norton, testified of Davis' lewd sexual actions with her.
2. Davis said match-making was wrong. Yet Davis set up rules that stopped anyone from even talking to other single people unless Davis approved of it. That, friends, IS MATCHMAKING! HELLO!
3. Davis yelled at pregnant women saying they would have to answer to God for ruining their husband's ministry since children hinder the work of Gawd. But Davis went out of his way to the Philippines to adopt Tanya Maxamillia Reynolds Davis Kekel.

Those are 3 examples of Davis DOING THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT HE SAID. That is proof Davis was a hypocrite. And as we all heard many, many times from the mouth of NTCC Executive Board Member Joey Olson: "... Davis IS the organization." So guess what? The NTCC is run by HYPOCRITES who DO what they say should never be done.

I cleaned M. Kekel's house before too. He hit me on the butt once. I went to Olson about it. M. Kekel claimed he bumped my butt accidently and nothing more was said. It bothered me but I thought I was in the wrong. This confirms I wasn't wrong. He hit my butt on purpose. I think he was testing to see what he could get away with before he tried more. I am disgusted by how far you got with you Julie.

My mother and Verna were talking. I am not sure what started the conversation but they were talking about Tanya.

My mother asked if Verna had ever met the mother. Verna said, “Yes” ….the continued talking. It was spoke how that she was there when Tanya was born. Then something was brought up why Verna chose Tanya. She said God brought Tanya to her. Verna spoke how she was very sick in the Philippines and was unable to have a baby. That God used a bad situation to give her the desire of her heart. Verna said she was upset about the existence of Tanya first until God showed her that Tanya was a gift from Him. Tanya when she first went to visit the Philippines found out more about her past then Davis would have her know.

This has given her a lot of leverage in this situation. He can run from adultery but this is too much proof of his sin so she holds it over him. It is why Kekel feels confident in throwing him under the bus because he knows what he knows. It is why Kekel can change rules without fight. It is why Tanya can’t be considered a sinner and she gets her way. She grew up spoiled but then she found something that helped her get her way in life. Now we have Grant. Grant had freedom other children didn’t have the privilege to experience. They didn’t feel they needed to consider him a sinner until he went away to college not being faithful to NTCC services. They use this to say they understand what other parents go through when they children leave Church “God”. They do this because they have seen parents leave at times after their children choose to leave. If they can show false understanding they will add to the blindness in people. They use phrases like “You know how young people can be, sometimes it takes them time to choose to do right before God”. Getting the parents to think that their children are just rebelling against God.

Something to understand about NTCC and why they change the rules. As people get out, with the internet it is hard to hide the sin that has been burdened. It is like a person giving a child a cookie to shut up. They realize people may find out their sin so they feel the need to hand out cookies. A cookie for them comes in the form of now babies are okay, now jewelry is okay, now sports is okay, now computers are okay, now movies are okay, and so on. It is like they are saying if we give cookies no one will pay attention to the spiders crawling near the plate of cookies but the cookies aren’t keeping everyone’s attention. There are some that are now seeing the spiders near the cookies. Everything they do is to hide their sin as they take people’s money. They are willing to do anything even if it means pretending to see that there is nothing wrong with some things.

Davis has always hated children. His sin brought a child; he didn’t want but the only way to hide was to lie about how it came into being. He would have never had a child without his sin. What his sin produced only made him hate children that much more. He protects people that know his sin. This is why some sin is swept under the rug and others are put to shame.

In the last conference we attended in the PI in '09, we were all sitting around the fellowship table at the missionary quarters one evening. RWD was discussing how the laws had changed in the PI and foreigners could now purchase property. Well, RWD shared how it didn't matter to him anyway about the laws changing because he could get land through other connections.

That's when I piped up and said, that's right, sir, you don't need anybody because you have Tanya, she's a Filipina. He looked over at me and gave me the scum of the earth look and said, "She's not Filipina". Need I say, you could hear a pin drop in that room. I think Tom Wright wet his pants when I said that. John Rodrigues turned beet red. My wife, unable to breathe at that moment, practically passed out on the couch. The rest of the brethren just looked at RWD as if to say, your move. I said, really, sir? I thought she was.

Maybe that's when RWD started to hate me! Nah, he hated me long before that.

Little did RWD know that in '03, we had met Lowena Montilla's brother out soulwinning one afternoon, he asked us if we were with the Ntcc/Pastor Davis group. The very next thing out of his mouth was a question, do you know Tanya? His wife then chimed in and said "You know she's one of ours, don't you?" When RWD said "she's not Filipina", my thought was, why the big cover up? What's the big whoopty deal?

I personally have always thought that this was a non-issue, but it evidently is a big issue. Hey Michael, I guess you need some tissues for that big issue, don't you?

You would have really needed some tissues, Michael, if I would have seen you get up in my wife's face unprovoked back in January when you glared at her and said, "what are you looking at?" I don't even talk to her like that. I was meeting with your father-in-law at that time, and your own wife saw it and called you paranoid and laughed at you as you blushed. My wife just thought you were plain weird. You seem really stressed out these days. Maybe it's time to see a doctor. And besides all that, Michael, didn't you tell a BS class that God had convicted you of that conduct and that you weren't gonna do that to people any more? Huh?

It's kind of like RWD bragging about his 2 PhD's. Not just one, he said, "I've got 2 of 'em". This was never an issue with me until he made it an issue. If you're going to brag about something like your credentials, then back it up with the university of study and the degrees on paper. When Paul boasted of his accomplishments, he could back them up. The Jews knew he had the credentials. In II Cor. 12:11 Paul was compelled... evidently RWD was compelled to boast too, so let's see the proof. He made it an issue, not me.

No, we're not bitter. We just got tired of being treated like trash. That's all.

What is it with the leadership of the ntcc and their desire to marry off their daughters before they are of age?  I wracked my brain with this question and finally a light bulb came on.

The reason that the ntcc does this is because they know when that girl turns 18 and has the right to make her own decisions, that she is going to "choose the world" over marrying a 28 year old drooling man and being a barefoot-and-barren-in-the-kitchen cult member for the rest of her life.  Who in their right mind would choose that for themselves?

If you look at the mortality rate for kids in the ntcc, it is somewhere in the high 90's percentile.  I'm referring to them leaving the ntcc and becoming dead to their parents and the ntcc leadership.  How many of the ntcc preachers' kids have grown up in that cult and chosen to stay after turning 18?  Does anyone know of any besides the females that are married off in their mid-teens?  There might be some, but very few.  What kind of testimony is it that if these ministers that are involved in God's so called "last move on earth", can not even get their family members into heaven?

The solution for this problem was figured out by none other than rwd who experimented with his own daughter.  Perhaps she was rebelling against the holiness doctrine as she does to this day. The so called Holiness Doctrine was only used as a tool to keep people in line, and to control and manipulate them.  Whatever, the reason, rwd sought him out a man, several years older than his mid teenage daughter to intervene so that his daughter would not jump ship when the time came to make that decision for herself.  If we as adults could not think for ourselves, how much more would a 15 or 16 year old girl not be able to resist the "advice" of rwd or johnson or olson or anyone else in that authoritative position?

Tanya was to be the Incubator for one Grant Kekel, the heir apparent to the throne of the ntcc.  I can only imagine that when Tanya Kekel was in her early teens, rwd sought out and found a man with like morals and unscrupulous character that could marry his daughter a day after her 17th birthday and take over a corrupt organization that would be able to keep the cult intact while transitioning it into compromise.   While Grant Kekel is off at secular college living the life of an ordinary 'sinner', which is what we would have been classified as back in the day if we went to secular college or played football and participated in all the activities that went along with that, rwd and mike kekel are continuing to do what they do best and that is build a financial empire while manipulating people for financial gain.

Some time ago a former ntcc minister, Vic Johanson, shared on a public blog how mike kekel had molested a 14-16 year old girl kekel was dating when kekel was 23-25 years old.

In a normal environment kekel's boasting would have earned him a mug shot and life-long registration on the sex-offenders' registry.

But in the New Testament Christian Church, kekel was promoted to Chief Executive Officer and President of the Orgnization, New Testament Christian Churches of America, Incorporated.

The groped girl's father was well aware of this incident and rather than reprove the action and defend his daughter from such abhorrent behavior, sanctioned this behavior. In our opinion that is so perverse.

Christians should protect their little girls from wolves, not throw them to them!

To be clear, we are not advocating violence.  It would have been better for the father to call the police; and allow them to handle this.  But,  most normal men would respond strongly against any adult man making the moves on his 15 year old daughter.  **Normal Men**  

Vic Johanson's testimony follows. Note how he was disgusted with kekel's lack of remorse for his illegal behavior.  Impenitent kekel was boasting of it and making a declaration he would not repent!

Why would such a person as mike kekel be promoted in the ntcc unless their leader, r. w. davis, the groped-girl's father, was the same type of wolf, preying on innocent victims as some have alleged.

Why would anyone stay and be part of such an orgainization that condones and promotes such child molesting predators?

The Bible admonishes us against these type of reprobates stating:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:32)

Not saying such an act constitutes an automatic death sentence. But that davis seems to have taken pleasure in kekel's molestation, promoting him to be ntcc's CEO.

**You Can Choose Multiple Answers** 

Holiness or Hell? Part 1

During our combined twenty two + plus years in the ntcc, we have heard the term "Holiness or Hell" used from behind the pulpit, during bible studies, and in general conversation many times.  Without going into our own personal opinions and convictions that might agree or disagree with the ntcc on many holiness issues, we think that it is important to get down to the root of the problem or matter however you might see it.

My issue with holiness preachers has nothing to do with the content of holiness teachings but with the way it comes across.  With the ntcc every thing comes across the pulpit as:

• "Do or Die."
• "My Way or the Highway!"
• "Heaven or Hell!"
•  etc... 

But they also throw around the question,

• "What would Jesus do?"

That is a great question; and one we all should strive to achieve.  I do not ever remember Jesus saying follow me or you will die and go to hell.  It seemed to me that the ones that followed him did so more so out of love than fear.

The reason that the ntcc is so cut and dry on many issues is that they are a cult.
They use these teachings as ultimatums:

• to gain more control
• to create fear
• to make their group seem more elite
• to make it harder to obtain membership in their exclusive club

This is a very dangerous road to travel down; because the group that usually gets excluded are the people that are the opposite of proud, the least of God's children, and the ones that are the most easily offended. The ntcc have said in the past that "It's God's word that is offending them not our preaching."  By saying this they are displaying their lack of forgiveness and a judgmental attitude that runs many off; in spite of the fact that they do preach Christ crucified. It's counter-productive to introduce holiness or hell after you just got done preaching Jesus' blood or hell.

While there are many teachings in the bible that are the "do's and don'ts" of Christianity there are also teachings that we adhere to that are not all "cut and dry".  Many things in the bible apply to customs of the time and Old Testament Law.  Tithe is a concept that has absolutely no supporting New Testament Scripture; but it is a huge part of ntcc's teaching; because in ntcc tithe is used to separate Christians from sinners and to distinguish those that are saved from those who are not.  And, more importantly to the ntcc, tithe is used to gain revenue ($$$$$$).  Not only do they hammer tithe; but they add all kinds of offerings and use more cult loaded jargon to guilt people to give.  There were many times that I was encouraged to give more than I could; and it was done in a way that made me feel that if I didn't pledge money that I didn't have that I lacked the faith to trust God [manipulation].  Now, I'm finding out that what I did give was funding the higher-ups' lifestyle more than it was helping those for whom the money was designated.  I do not have any problem with somebody paying their tithe; but when it is preached as a stipulation to being saved it takes the blessing away from the giver; and I have to say that there is no scriptural evidence that supports this teaching.

The same applies with holiness teaching.  If someone is taught holiness or hell, it makes holiness an ultimatum and people live it out of fear instead of love.  Most of what the ntcc preaches and teaches is not necessarily un-biblical, although some of it is; but it is the way in which they erupt from the pulpit and spew out ultimatums that makes it wrong.  I could take a dog that dumps on the carpet and stick its nose in it and beat the dog until it can barely walk; and it fears me every time I come near it.  Or I can choose a method like putting a dog door in the house and showing the dog his mess, give the dog some verbal reprimand and possibly a small swat to get his attention and then put him through the dog door.  I wonder which method works the best with Christians?  I wonder which method would bring in the most money into the offering plates?  I wonder if holiness was not preached as a prerequisite to make it into heaven if you might find more takers?

Part of the problem that I have with the ntcc's preaching is that they add to and take away from true holiness.  The ntcc's stand on facial hair on men is not scriptural in any way and has no place being preached as a requirement to being a Christian whether or not it is implied or in the form of public rebuke.  Is not holiness an outward appearance for an inward work?  How does the ntcc's stand on encouraging divorce not apply to "holiness or hell" preaching?  It seems like this is allowed because it would call into question the legitimacy of the entire organization, its founder, and the reasons he started a cult instead of adhering to the principles of the organization that would not allow him to do his own thing.   I could go into how tanya kekel dresses and how michael c. kekel has conducted himself, and whether or not football pants are lascivious, and many other questionable doctrines of  the ntcc; but I think that we have covered this sufficiently.  The holiness or hell doctrine that was preached the entire time that I was in the ntcc, which was 1983 - 1997 [Don] and 1990 -1999 [Ange], has been broken and changed many times by the ntcc leadership to cover their own shortcomings [compromise].

We have found that serving God is not supposed to be this difficult; and that God is much more forgiving than the ntcc.  We appreciate all that contribute to this blog; but we especially recognize the X-ers for what they have had to endure over the years.  We were all made to live as slaves to a machine that tried to control our thoughts and actions by the use of intimidation, public embarrassment and humiliation.  I really believe as said before that there will be a special dispensation of grace for those that had to endure this kind of spiritual abuse; and that God has not forsaken us because we have left this evil and wicked organization; but rather it is the first step in a long process of healing and definitely a move in the right direction toward inward holiness without hell being rammed down our throats.
