A Letter To J.R. Ashmore

Very recently I wrote a letter to J.R. Ashmore's Facebook account. To be fair to him it was sent just yesterday to his James Ashmore's Facebook account; and because we are not Facebook Friends these types of letters can go unnoticed and they go into a Message file that's labelled as "Other" messages, as opposed to going into the regular "Inbox" message file. At the time of this post it doesn't appear to have been read yet by JRA; which I don't hold against him. I do think that the letter needs to be public, however; and I also believe that the questions that I asked are questions that many people have and deserve to know the answers to.

The first set of questions that I asked were in reference to finances; which I believe everyone has a right to know, even people who aren't current members now, but that might be considering attending JRA's Jesus Revival Ministries in the future. I'm trying to be objective in this letter and allow him to address the questions that we might have. We've all been burned really bad in the ntcc; and James Ross Ashmore was a high ranking Board Member of that group that we all respected. I held JRA in very high regard even after getting out and during part of the time that I was blogging until some really bad allegations came out against him; at which time we started blogging about him.

Some very good friends who we respect a lot have recently suggested that we should not be so hard on him; because he, much like us, was also under the same brainwashing just at a higher level. We see a major difference. Ashmore had been a Board member of NTCC since it's inception in 1987 and was a Board Member of NTCC's predecessor, NTCG, since 1975. Basically Ashmore became the Secretary Treasurer of NTCG, replacing L.G. Parsons, presumably after allegations of Davis having an affair with Parson's wife caused a split in which the bible school relocated to 2170 Forest Ave. Since Ashmore was such a heavy hitter for NTCG/NTCC, and was privy to much more info than us average church schlubs, we have a very hard time with this simplistic brainwashing theory. Ashmore helped mold these organizations, sitting on the Boards and giving his approval to their doctrines and actions. As a result of his and other Board Members' actions (or lack thereof) most of us have paid very high prices for our ntcc experience.

Additionally, from all accounts, James Ross Ashmore has profited financially and seems to be very well off in his new church. This is remarkable when compared to the commonplace poverty endured by other long-time ntcc ministers. At any rate, I wanted to invite him to answer questions that I have and also any questions that you might have. I would appreciate it if people refrained from name calling for the purpose of being objective. If any of James Ashmore's current members or current supporters would like to say anything in his defense, they are also welcome to do so. I realize that I have been one of his biggest critics; and I have sided on our blog with people that have accused him of some pretty bad things.

In the second section of this letter I have asked him questions relating to the alleged misconduct that others have brought forth and these allegations are concerning Moreno, Lisa Norton and Lori Kelley, Kenneth McPherson and Julie St. Clair. I'm using maiden names because the incidents that involved these people happened a long time ago and the alleged involvement of James Ashmore occurred during that time period. It's been shared that you can't expect someone to go public about things that could implicate them in what may be considered criminal activity, but David did, and he was King of Jerusalem and God allowed him to keep his office. Perhaps if James Ashmore is sincere, God will do the same for him if he admits that he had a part in any of these incidents. My guess is that Ashmore probably won't address any of this. I would hope that he would address at the very least the first six questions that have to do with financial transparency. I feel that because of his position in the ntcc, which he refers to as "The Whore", he owes at least some honesty and transparency to the people who once followed him and believed in him in the ntcc. If anyone else has any questions for him they are welcome to ask in the comment section; however, I would not be surprised if he does not answer. I do want folks to consider that James Ashmore is now holding church services in a building that has a present real estate value of close to 1.5 million dollars and appears to be living in a very nice house which most likely is in an expensive area in San Diego, which is more of an educated guess on my part just from what I've seen from his Facebook videos recorded inside his house and the places he's filmed teaching. Is this wrong? I believe that he should be open about it with the people he formerly profited off of and with his current followers and members. The letter I wrote to him is verbatim as follows:

We sent a message to James Ashmore's Commentary on Facebook asking for some simple answers. Feel free to add your questions about why he left NTCC and started his own group that he calls Jesus Revival Ministries.

Hello, just a friendly letter to say congratulations for leaving the ntcc, but after what we all went through it's pretty hard to believe that you have changed. I think it's great that you seem to have had a change of heart on the holiness movement which seemed more to be a doctrine of control than an indicator of faithfulness. By the way, this is Don and I'm sure you've heard of our blog and much of what we blog about. We run a blog to help folks that have been hurt by the ntcc. He have blogged about you extensively and I'm sure that is no secret either. We have close friends that have recently told us that you have changed and that we should not include you when we blog about the ntcc. Up until now, we have been very vocal about you because of the testimonies of not one or two or three witnesses but more than that. Some of the things that you were allegedly responsible for in the ntcc were terrible and definitely not Christ like. I understand that people can repent and that people can change and I would like to believe that about you and Helen, but I have seen no evidence of change. I have been telling folks that if you changed that they would see that change. We all were burned by the ntcc. We gave of our time, money and sweat until we had nothing else to give and we did it as unto the Lord, for nothing in return. Many were kicked to the curb and never visited one time after they left. Many paid their tithe faithfully and were loyal to every church function, every fellowship meeting and every conference but God forbid that we should ever ask or know where our money went. I'm trying to convince people that they should exercise caution before jumping on board with you because I don't see any difference. I want to give you a chance to answer if you will. I'm pretty sure you will just discount everything I say and chalk it all up to the devil and handle this in the same way that the ntcc would handle it.

I have to ask you a few questions and I hope you would answer them honestly before I am willing to believe that you changed at all, (which probably isn't much of a concern to you, but I thought I'd try anyway). The questions that I'm asking should not offend you if everything is right between you and Jesus. In the ntcc everything was done secretively and without transparency and we were all burned. I'm hoping that you are willing to be open and honest about these topics. If you do decide to answer any of these questions please give real answers and don't tap dance. Just answer them straight up. We think people have a right to know and a lot of our readers believe that they have a right to know also. Thank you.

1. Do you believe in or teach people to pay tithes? If you do, what New Testament Scripture do you use to justify it.

2. Do you believe that people have a right to know where their tithe dollars go after being burned for so long in the ntcc?

3. Do you believe that a preacher of the gospel has a moral obligation to be financially transparent?

4. If your church members are paying for your church rent and your home expenses, do they have a right to know how much of their money is going to support you?

5. Are you willing to go public with the financial information that we have asked you about so that former ntcc members that might be considering joining your church can trust you? We believe that a church leader's supporters should know how much money they spend at restaurants, while they sacrifice and budget their grocery bills to pay offerings and tithe to the church. They should know how much of their money goes into your transportation costs while they budget themselves to drive around in oil puking junkers to support their church leaders. They should know how much they are paying for your home and your church while they sacrifice to pay for their church leaders to live the good life. The ntcc leadership has always been secretive and they get very sensitive when you ask about where money goes.

6. Why is it that your blog is private? Shouldn't people that might be considering joining your church have access to the things you teach? Why the shroud of secrecy?

The above questions should be public information and should be available to anyone who attends your church especially if you are being supported by your church members. The following questions are for the victims of abuse that have reported you on our blog. We feel that they have the right to ask you these questions. If it were one or maybe two, I would consider that possibly they could have been lying, but there are too many that have come forward. Below is a list of questions pertaining to the more serious accusations.

1. Did you sexually abuse Julie in any way, did you touch her inappropriately, did you do anything that might be construed as sexual in nature? If you did, did you repent and ask God to forgive you and are you willing to attempt to make things right with Julie?

2. Were you involved in any way in the Phil Kinson Cover up that took place in Japan? Were you sent there to reprimand Roland Moreno or his Family in any way? Did R.W. Davis or Kinson or anyone tell you that Phil Kinson had Roland Moreno drive him to a whore house to retrieve his wallet? This incident resulted in one of the greatest tragedies in ntcc history. If you do admit to this, did you repent and ask Jesus to forgive you?

3. Did you do anything or say anything to Lisa Norton and Lori Kelly to run them off after Johnny Jordan got Lisa pregnant and R.W. Davis moved Johnny and Pam to Graham? Lisa and Lori both claimed that you called them sluts and whores from behind the pulpit after Davis influenced Barbara Norton to abandon Lisa and her special needs brother around Christmas time. If you did have a part in this did you repent? Did you ask God to forgive you and did you do anything to make this right with Lisa and Lori?

4. Did you know that Ken McPherson was raped by Johnny Jordan? Did you allow two confessing homosexuals to attend different churches while trying to run Ken out of the church? Ken says that he could do nothing right and that you criticized him and asked him to just leave the church, while people like Batson and Peters were protected by you. If you did treat Ken unfairly in anyway, did you repent and make it right with God or attempt to make it right with Ken?

Finally just between you and me, do you really believe in the blood moon doctrine that Meinecke is talking about? It hasn't been until very recently that people started calling Harvest moons, blood moons. He said that this past blood moon was the third of four and I looked it up and it's really the first of four, but to use something like a harvest moon to convince people that it's the end of times seems to be a stretch even for you.

MyNTCC eXperience - Back on Track and Focusing on MyNTCC

Recently I got drawn into a discussion on Chief's blog that I felt passionate about.  We have always wanted this blog to be a safe place where people can come and share things that they might feel uncomfortable sharing with others.  We have created this little corner in cyber space to be a safe haven to share true accounts of what people have been through in the ntcc.  I know that there are at least some people who visit this blog because it helps them in some way to process what they went through and work their way through the stuff that we all had to figure out to get to this point.  I want to apologize to our readers for getting off track. Overall Chief has done as much as anyone to shine a light on the ntcc's dark ways; and very often we agree on things.   Even though we pretty much had World War III over there for the past couple of  days, life is too short to keep hashing over this subject.

I actually care and have passion about this blog and so does Ange.  We agree on just about everything we write, and when I do a blog post she looks at it when I'm done and helps me find better ways to word things and often has a few things to add of her own; and when we are done looking at it, we both have contributed.  She also does blog posts and she maintains the blog which is far more extensive than what I do.  Anyway, I love life; we thank God for what we have; and we are really enjoying our life together.  And I don't want to get so caught up in a disagreement where we forget why we are even doing this.  Chief is not the enemy.  If I want a good argument with Chief we can talk about Tebow on the phone and argue for hours; but it really serves no purpose to argue with one another about the topics that we have been going back and forth on for the last couple of days.  I'll take the blame for this; because I didn't have to go over to Chief's blog to prove anything.

We are not changing the way we run this blog; and we are not going to try to change the way Chief runs his blog.  We are different and always will be.  Thank God!  Our days of being Borg Clones are over!  We celebrate this freedom and diversity.  While Chief was taking time off from his blog, we continued to plug on blogging; and during that time a lot of people shared intimate details of their lives with us.  People came to us and trusted us with information that they wanted to share publicly about how they were abused in the ntcc. Julie, Lisa, and Lori shared new things; and Pam went into more detail about what she had previously shared.  They all shared very private and hurtful things that they went through in their lives in ntcc; and in many cases I could feel the pain they were experiencing while they tried to relate all of the horrible details of what they went through.  We have tried our best to handle this delicately.  We are not a news agency; and we aren't here to exploit the victims of sexual abuse for any reason.  We always will side with the victims of ntcc abuse; because they have confided in us to do so; and because so often they were not given this courtesy while they were in the ntcc.  We will not allow people to call them filthy names or to imply that they were willing participants even if people think they should have the right to do so.  We have done our due diligence to learn about what these girls went through.  They all grew up in the ntcc, went to school in the ntcc and were raised in very bad situations.  We gathered a lot of information and verified the parts of their witness that we could.  We asked a lot of questions; and we researched sexual abuse in other religious organizations. We studied definitions of terms and what people that were experts in this field had to share.   When I use the terms 'rape' or 'child molestation' to describe what they went through, it's not because I made these terms up, or because I want to sensationalize what they went through.   It's because someone a lot smarter than me who deals with rape and child molestation on a daily basis uses these terms to describe what they went through.

It's been suggested that because a girl was married at a young age, it shouldn't have been considered child molestation, what she went through.  That theory didn't work out well for Warren Jeffs as Texas convicted him for raping such a young girl while trying to rename his raping her as 'marriage'.  Luckily the people of Texas understand that is wrong; and now that pervert rots in prison where he belongs. I'm explaining this to our readers because I want you to know where I stand; and how I believe about this subject; and also why we feel it is important to protect people that come forward as opposed to allowing other people to drag them through the mud.

This is a free country and this is one way Ange and I choose to exercise our freedom.  It is our right to be advocates for these victims; and we do so without any reservation or permission.  We want people in the future to report sexual abuse to the proper authorities.  We would rather have you do that than to report it to us.  We do think that it's important to educate everyone that visits this blog about the history of the ntcc.  The women that have shared their testimonies don't deserve to be disregarded and marginalized like they were in the ntcc.  All rape victims, whether male or female, deserve to be treated with respect, compassion and dignity. They should not be blamed or treated as if they did something to warrant being raped.

There are millions of things that we can talk about to expose the ntcc without disparaging these women.  Is that fair of us as the managers of this blog to ask this?  Of the millions of subjects that we can talk about, and the views that can be expressed is it too much to ask folks to have a little respect for the afflicted souls of these women? If you think about it, these are the types of people that Jesus healed and dealt with on a personal level.  Jesus stuck up for the woman taken in adultery.  In John 8:7-9 [here] it is recorded that Jesus said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."  And they all walked away one by one until only Jesus and the woman remained.  I'm asking folks, only on this blog not to throw stones at these women.  I don't want people to talk bad about them anywhere; but if you consider it part of your freedom and you feel an uncontrollable urge to demean them, please take it somewhere else.  This blog will not be used by anyone to do that; and in turn, I am not going to visit anyone else's blog and throw stones at them.  Does that sound fair?  In fact I don't think I've ever advised anyone how to run their blog; and if they have rules, I would respect those rules if I wanted to participate in their blog.

So back to business.  It's time to roll down our sleeves and get things going again.  We had a lot of really good participation on the last blog post and ntcc current and former ministers shared what they had to go through financially in the ntcc.  There is so much corruption to talk about.  The ntcc has bankrupted people and harassed them to give until they had nothing left.  They have over charged ministers by making them pay more than what is reasonable for rent on buildings that are completely paid off.  NTCC thinks that ministers are stupid when they come into a town and purchase a building without allowing those ministers to be present during the financial transaction; and the NTCC places an exorbitant monthly payment on that building; so that folks can't afford to eat, let alone pay all their tithe and bills.

Right now the theme seems to be poverty in the ntcc. LaToya shared what they went through and how hard it was to make ends meet; and an anonymous person commented that they had to choose between eating Ramen and paying the light bill or eating real food and having the electricity shut off. Another comment came in about a minister who had to get help from another church so they could feed themselves. There are many things to discuss; and we appreciate and respect each person who wants to participate in exposing the ntcc for what they are.  Let's raise some awareness so people that are still in the ntcc can see the undeniable truth about the leadership and how they are oppressing people. Let's share stuff that is useful so we can help people who have recently been kicked to the curb to recover from this tragic experience.  The floor is open!!!

Soul Winning in the NTCC: A Pyramid Scheme

Is there a bigger scam than paying tithe in the ntcc?  If there is, it would have to be "Soul Winning". Winning souls is one thing, but what are you winning them to?  The ntcc soul winning model is much like a multi-level marketing pyramid scheme.  In MLM schemes you have a product or line of products to sell.  Amway, Herbal Life, Mary Kay, Nikken and many others in the MLM business have found a way to sell their product, not by actually selling the product, but by selling a system or a business opportunity. While there is money to be made in individual product sales, the big money is in getting others to do the work for you, while you profit from their labors.  Through the years the MLM companies through trail and error have come up with a model to produce distributors, rather than sales reps, and they have streamlined this process with the final result looking very much like the ntcc soul winning process.  What the MLM, (Multi-Level Marketing), folks are doing is not presenting a line of products, but a business opportunity.

This Model shows how all of
the thousands of ntcc brain
washed suckers at the bottom
losing their money while
only 39 Hood winking hucksters
at the top are making money.
Does this look representative
of Christianity in the bible, or
does this look like a
religious pyramid scam
found in organizations
like the ntcc?

This is how it works:

1.  People are introduced not to a line of products, but to a business opportunity.

In the ntcc the product is Jesus.  The soul winner in the ntcc invites people to church.

2.  MLM people are taught to get people to come to meetings where someone more successful, that benefits from all of your business success will be able to share the business in a much more polished fashion than you would be able to.

1 Cor 1:21 "it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."  In the ntcc, only a bible school trained and licensed minister is considered qualified as the preacher.  Hez. 1:1 "Any thing with two heads is a freak".  Ntcc soul snatchers are taught to get them out to church.  If you bring them out to church you will get praised and that is your blessing.  The preacher will ultimately get another tithe payer out of the deal.  The ntcc will get another stream of income.

These three suckers are
carrying their tithe to
church.  If they each
can win 3 more suckers
who will do the same thing,
they will create multiple
streams of income and
maybe they can be a
blessing to their pastor
so he can be a full
time ntcc Huckster.

3.  New MLM associates are love bombed with video's of other people who have prospered and worked their way up the pyramid.  They tell you that if you work hard you will one day you will have the same things that the MLM leaders have.  But while you are on the bottom row of Pyramid blocks, you are doing the most work and supporting the most weight, with the least amount of reward.

In the ntcc, you are also promised a blessing, if you work and give your time, labor and money to the Lord, you will be blessed just like the ones who drive recreational vehicles all over the U.S. on your dime.  You will be just like the ones in Graham who live in Mansions and drive in expensive sports cars while the bible school students eat Ramen and bologna for supper.  However, it doesn't matter how many people you bring to church, you are still on that bottom row.  You are doing the work and you are getting paid the least.  You have to become just like the money grubbing hypocrites in Graham if expect to have any level of success at all.  You have to oppress people, and you have to do it the way they teach you to do it.

Inside Edition Investigates TV Preachers Living Like Rock Stars On YouTube

4.  MLM corporations use a practice called duplication, to get the best results.  They want everyone doing things the exact same way, the proven way, the way that earns the most profit.  One of the basic requirement's of all consultants is that they purchase a certain amount of the products being sold so they can see for themselves how miraculous those products are.  The amount of product required is usually $1,000.00 or more in some cases and/or "autoship" which is an agreement to purchase at least $100.00 worth of their product every month, of course they get their retail discount.  To be a successful sales consultant you will have to get a lot of people to sign up for what you signed up for.

Sound a little familiar?  There is always a catch.  In the ntcc it's tithes and offerings and living in the servicemen's home and going to ntccbs.  Nothings free in life, including Jesus.  If you want a relationship with Christ in the ntcc, you are going to pay for it.  You will pay tithe, give in offerings, live in the home, (if you want to go to bible school and get to the next level), give to all the world missions funds, give to the escrow fund, give to the budget offerings, give to the revival preachers, give to everyone and then if you have any money left, it truly is a miracle.  To be a successful soul winner you have to get others to go along with the whole scam, not just the free salvation.  Getting people saved is not the same as getting people to commit financially to the ntcc.  With Jesus there were no financial strings attached.  The ntcc will not accept you as a Christian based only your confession of sins to God or repentance and newness of life.  If you do not pay your tithe you will not be treated as a Christian, and you will never get out of the bottom row of blocks on the pyramid.

Just Ask -- Pyramid Scheme on YouTube

5.  No matter how many sales you get or how many associates you convince to join your MLM team, you still need to meet the minimum requirements to get out of that bottom row on the pyramid.  You have to have a certain amount of product sales, and you have to have 3 distributors under you that each have 3 distributors of their own.  It varys from scheme to scheme and from scam to scam. When you do finally get out of the bottom row, you learn that there is very little difference between the bottom row and the second from the bottom row, just one less block.  Now that you have been promoted to a "Silver" distributor, you have an obligation to keep the same level of product sales and the same participation in autoship and the distributors below you are required to keep performing at the same level.  You are now making about $500 per month and you need to go up the pyramid two or three more blocks before you can become a full time con artist, (oops, I meant to say consultant).

In the ntcc you are on the bottom row until you start producing money and numbers.  Before you can get out of the bottom row of the pyramid, you must go to the ntcc brain washing center in Graham where you will live in poverty for a couple years while you "put it together" to go out into the ministry.  When you complete the ntcc bs you will be given a piece of paper that says you are a trained and qualified minister in the ntcc, but piece of paper is only recognized in the ntcc and you still are on the bottom row until you go somewhere and produce enough money and numbers to become full time.  Somewhere along the line in this process the gift of Salvation has been replaced my many years of poverty and required giving.  Once you get a taste for full time ministering, you begin to notice that the ones at the very top of the pyramid aren't doing much work at all, yet they are living in Mansions and enjoying the finer things in life.  At this point you have a choice to believe that those at the top are just blessed because they sacrificed more and that one day you can be just like them, sitting back and taking it easy while others do all the work.  If you had freedom in your mind you would see it for what it is, but because you have been trained under strict mind control and are too afraid of judgment and filled with man imposed guilt, you will no doubt believe a lie and continue to live the lie.

The truth is, you have a better chance to make it to the top in an MLM scheme than you do in the ntcc.  The ntcc is a family owned and operated business.  They sell a product called Jesus and that is all he is to them, a product.  The program they use to sell you Jesus is called Soul Winning, but they are not just looking for people who will get saved, they want a full commitment out of you that involves paying them a whole lot of money, dressing a certain way, relinquishing control of your ability to make your own relationship choices and allowing them to defile the only true instructions we have that define Christianity.  Jesus didn't offer a pyramid scheme.  He sent his disciples out by 2's and they were given the same power that Jesus had.  They weren't told to go out and invite people to church, they were told to preach the gospel and to heal the sick and cast out devils.  Jesus shared the all of his power with those loved Him and he didn't charge them a dime for it.

Divine Healing Doesn't Have to be a Spectacle

Jesus guides the surgeon's hand.
 Jesus guiding the Surgeon's hand.

This morning I was blogging about the Glock Pistol over on Chief's blog knowing that I had a surgical appointment later this morning for a surgical procedure called a Mediastinoscopy.  Back in early April, I slipped on some ice and took a spill while getting out of my big rig, and suffered a rare injury which basically was diagnosed as a Sterno-Clavicular Sprain. Basically my collar bone was almost or slightly dislocated from the joint where it attaches to the breast bone.  It's quite a ways down from the top step and I landed on my shoulder with all my weight.  The injury was painful but it could have been much worse.  Even when it happened I was marveling that I hadn't hit my head on the curb. Thank God.  Also, thankfully, I had a benefit called Accidental Occupational insurance.  This insurance covered every penny of my medical expenses, including a trip to urgent care, x-rays, Cat-Scan, follow up visits, Physical Therapy visits, prescription meds and a nice pay check every week to help me get by until I'm able to go back to work.

When I got my Cat-Scan the diagnosis was that I strained some tendons and muscles in the joint where my Collar bone attaches to my sternum.  Thankfully, the Cat-Scan was in just the right location to detect another problem that I was unaware of.  They found some enlarged lymph nodes hiding between my heart and lungs that needed to be removed ASAP.  The doctor said I was very fortunate to have found this problem, because if it were left undetected it could have fatal ramifications.  They sent me back for a Cat-Scan of my chest and it revealed that those lymph-nodes were indeed very large, so they scheduled me for surgery which took place earlier today (4/14/15). They had to make an incision just below my Adam's Apple and follow my windpipe down to the affected area.  In addition to removing the Lymph nodes a camera was deployed to the same area to perform an expedition that would search for traces of cancer or lymphoma.  Biopsies were taken and sent to the lab.  All this took the better part of 5 hours and I'm now at home feeling a little loopy from the Anesthesia but amazingly hardly any pain.

I could have gone to someone like Ashmore and made a spectacle out of things, but I just said a few prayers and went about my business.  I personally feel that life itself is a blessing from God; and we live and breathe because God cares enough about each one of us to allow it.  I also feel that God has answered my prayer; and I'm grateful that the outcome has been very favorable.  The Surgeon said everything looked really good and went very well.  I do have to wait for the results of the Biopsy before I know if there is to be any further treatment needed.

In conclusion, God has been very good to me.  While I consider this to be divine healing, I do not lay claim to any of the glory; nor do I want credit for having faith to be healed.  I believe that God loves His people and that I am one of those people.  I don't think that a trip to your nearest faith healing apostle is necessary for healing.  I can say with a degree of certainty that if I would have went to an ntcc minister that this healing would have a tithe mandate attached to it.  I probably would have been told by Ashmore or Kekel in either one of their ministries that I would have to repent of the things that we have shared on this blog before God would even consider healing me.  I would have never known that God would heal me because he loved me, not because a big spectacle was made.

I remember when I was attending church at the Servicemen's home in Fort Bragg, I had surgery to remove two wisdom teeth.  I was given "Quarters" (mandatory bed rest) by the Doctor; and because I lived in the Servicemen's Home was allowed to stay there during my recovery which was 48 hours.  I had to explain to my pastor, which I believe was Medrano, that I was not allowed to go soul winning because I was on Quarters; and if I was seen breaking those orders from the Doctor, I could get in trouble.  I was still expected to attend church since it was in the house.  I don't remember anyone ever praying for divine healing for me in those days, just felt uncomfortable having to explain why I couldn't go soul winning.

Do yourself a favor and find yourself a church that doesn't treat you like a slave.  Those kind of ministers and people always have strings attached and hoops to jump through and they are not worth associating with.   Find yourself a church that doesn't capitalize on your gullibility.  If you have to pay a church, or they expect you to give to their programs and conform to their rules as a requirement to receive God's blessings, you don't need them as much as they need you.  You are better off without a church then you are if you let others capitalize on your suffering.  Don't let a bunch of religious Shylocks make merchandise of you.  If someone you trust with your spiritual welfare is getting rich while their congregants are struggling to get by, then shake the dust off your feet and find God for yourself without a bunch of religious nuts dictating God's conditions to you.

The Good, The Bad and The Religious

In a world that seems to be spinning out of control, people have always searched and continue to search for God.  People want to make sense of things; but with our finite minds, we often cannot answer many of the questions that take us beyond death.  There are so many churches scattered throughout America; and many of them claim not only to have the answers, but that they are the only ones with the answers. Then we have the Bible, (thank God), that is used by almost all of these churches to prove their point of view.

Unfortunately, folks don't come into this world with a knowledge of what God says in His Word; nor do they have the wisdom to rightly divide the word of truth.  In America we have the freedom to choose; and along with this freedom to choose comes the freedom to believe whatever you want.  While God wants us to make the right decision, His will is never forced upon us. His plan for us, however, is not very difficult; at least not more difficult than we make it.  While the road might be narrow, millions have made it.  Perhaps we can too if we follow the right path.

Three paths wend upward through a forest.
Choosing the right path is not as difficult as we were led to believe
The first path is the Good path, the right path and the only path that leads to life eternal.  With so many religions and so many voices that interfere in our lives it might seem like a hard path to find. In the military we used to orient ourselves to the map so that we could navigate from one point to another.  We'd look for known points on the map to figure out where we were and where we wanted to go. The Bible is the only map we have.  If we are looking for a church or looking for a path, we need to look for what we know is right to ensure we are on the right path.  Now Hebrews 10:25 says: "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Many use this scripture for their own purposes, but if you are going to follow someone you better make sure they are on the right path before you choose to fellowship with them.  It doesn't say anything about assembling ourselves together in a church building that you have to pay for.  It doesn't say that we have to assemble ourselves together with teachers of false doctrines.  People take one scripture out of the bible and bind themselves to it, and in the process they violate a dozen other scriptures.  If you have chosen the good path, and you have surrounded yourself with good people, then you probably will want to be around them.  It's not a forced thing.  If you are required to be around someone 5 times a week, than they must not be the type of people you would want to be around or they would not have had to make it a requirement.  The difference between good and bad is like night and day.

You can recognize the bad path because it is traveled by bad people.  They know they are bad and they don't try to hide it. Unfortunately our nature wants us to take this path and be around the others who choose this path.  Our flesh loves this path because it is full of things that are bad for us and that take us in a different direction than God wants us to go.  The Map we were given warns us not to go down this path and if we choose this path it's not by accident, nor is it by ignorance.  We know we are wrong if we choose to do the things that 'everyone else' is doing.  The people that walk in this direction ignore love and desire only to fulfill their own lusts and desires.  As bad as this may sound, there is more hope for the people on this path than there is for people on the religious path.  The difference is that the people that have chosen the bad path are the ones that God usually ends up saving, while the people on the religious path don't acknowledge that they need to be saved.

The religious make up a large percentage of the population of America.  The people that travel down this path have chosen to have the best of both worlds.  They expend a great deal of energy trying to convince others that they are on the good path but their footsteps are not following the map to heaven.  They present a standard that is impossible to live by, and they expect others to conform to, while their own actions are hidden in the darkness that surrounds their hearts.  In many ways they are worse than those who are on the dark path because they fight against the good and try to tear them down while their own desires are to profit from them.  The religious are made up of a mixture of good and bad.  The religious also fall into the ugly category because what they do to people is ugly and they do things that are so wrong that even the bad people cringe at the thought of their deeds. When you get involved with a religious group that was set up by a con artist, you find yourself among the worst of the worst.  These types of people are usually sexually perverted and they make money off of your suffering.  The only way to escape a group like this is to read your bible and compare it closely to the lives of your leaders.

We have determined that the ntcc is religious and the only good that exists within the organization are the people who are not willfully deceiving others but are lost and not using their map to navigate their way out.  They have good intentions and they may know that things are not right but they allow others to influence their thinking to the point where not even God can get their attention.  The ntcc preaches good, but lives bad and covers it all up with ugly religion.  The ntcc specializes in placing a calling on your life that exists only for their own greedy and selfish benefit.  People feel like they have to belong to a religion or a church because of Hebrews 10:25.  The ntcc uses that scripture to convince people to attend 5 or more church services per week, but even with that busy schedule the leaders of the ntcc have found time to visit whorehouses on your dime, molest young girls while their equally religious parents turn a blind eye or even make the arrangements themselves and build a real estate empire bought and payed for by your tithe dollars.  If they can convince you to pay tithe contrary to the New Testament, what else can they get you to do.  You are lost inside an organization. They have deceived you and used you for their own gain.

I was not exempt from the blindness and the religious nightmare that so many have awoken from. When it happened to me and I was so messed up when I got out, I chose to travel the bad path.  I didn't want anything to do with good anymore because I didn't really know what good was.  I thought good was paying your tithe and going to church and attending conferences.  It's easy to get lost inside a cult.  The leadership kept everything hidden from me.  Al Gore had just invented the internet and at that time Factnet and the blogs didn't exist, but even if they did, I probably wouldn't have believed anyone that had anything 'negative' (truthful) to say about the ntcc.  For me, I was better off taking the bad route.  It gave me enough freedom in my mind and control over my life that it cleared my mind enough so that when the truth was finally presented to me, I was able to see the difference between good and ugly religion.  In the process I also learned that nobody is perfect.  As much as you strive to be like Jesus, you will always fall short.  That's why Paul always opened his epistles with grace and mercy to all.  I hated the darkness that I lived in, but it was actually better than the religious lie I was living in the ntcc.  I don't recommend the bad and dark path to anyone, because it is not necessary. There is enough information on the internet to show you what kind of a religious cult the ntcc really is.  Their true colors have been exposed and when you see that for yourself you can make good choices.  Before the ntcc, I thought there were only two choices, good and bad.  Right or wrong. Everything was black or white.  Beware of false prophets and beware of hypocrites.  Follow only Christ and if you are fortunate enough to be around other believers who are not extorting the people of God for money and sex, don't forsake them.  You don't have to be around them 24/7, you have a life to live and so do they.  There is freedom in Christianity.  Don't let the religious twist the scriptures just to keep you in financial and spiritual bondage to them.

James Ashmore and The Hebrew Roots Movement

While visiting the Facebook page entitled James Ashmore's Commentary I noticed that he has made some changes, or given his page a face lift. He recently has visited and liked a Facebook page called "Jews for Messiah". Not only did JRA "Like" the Facebook page, but he also replaced the banner on his Facebook page, (James Ashmore's Commentary), with the banner from the "Jews for Messiah" Facebook page and shared pictures from their page. You might say big deal, who cares? Well it seems to me that JRA has spent the greater part of the last four decades preaching against other cults and churches and has been a big supporter of the ntcc being the last move of God on planet earth. The Jews for Messiah Facebook "About" page gives the description of what their Facebook page is all about: "Discussing the long-awaited Messiah promised in the Tanakh."

This word is defined as:
Tanakh is an acronym of the first Hebrew letter of each of the Masoretic Text's three traditional subdivisions: Torah ("Teaching", also known as the Five Books of Moses), Nevi'im ("Prophets") and Ketuvim ("Writings")—hence TaNaKh. Basically the Old Testament of the bible makes up what they are calling the Tanakh. - Wikipedia

Apparently they are still waiting for the coming of this Messiah; because the whole purpose of their Facebook page is to discuss the long-awaited Messiah. This group that Ashmore seems to like well enough to pattern his own page after is very secretive like the ntcc and Ashmore. They say that they will not argue about what they believe in. Any attempts to argue will result in you being 'unfriended', which is Facebook vernacular for 'disfellowshipped'. They seem to profess Christianity without mentioning Christ. They seem to believe in the bible but call it the Torah. If they are still discussing the long awaited arrival of the Messiah that was spoken of in the Old Testament, they need to get their noses in the New Testament and read all about it. Don't hide it behind a shroud of secrecy and call it something else.  This secretive tactic reminds us of the "movement" called the Hebrew Roots Movement.

Let's take a deeper look at the Hebrew Roots Movement.  First of all, it can only be traced back to the early twentieth century.  That means from 1 A.D. to 1901 that everyone else was in darkness because they didn't have this doctrine.  Much like the Holiness doctrine that the ntcc teaches, "holiness" sprung up out of nowhere in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Hebrew Roots Heresy sprang out of nowhere in the early part of last century and had its most profound impact when the organization called the World Wide Church of God began to teach Hebrew Roots Doctrine.  The founder of the Hebrew Roots Doctrine according to Wiki was Herbert W. Armstrong, (HWA) who was the RWD of the Hebrew Roots Movement.  Shortly after Armstrong's death in 1984, the doctrine was modified to be compatible with mainstream Evangelical Christianity. Imagine that, folks, it was changed.  This is what Kekel is trying to do with the ntcc.  By taking the old definitions of "holiness" out of the church bylaws, which were instituted by RWD, Kekel is attempting to make the ntcc's religion compatible with modern Christianity.  But let's consider this a little bit.  If the Hebrew Roots Movement is correct that would have to mean that all of the Christians were wrong from the early church all the way until the Hebrew Roots Movement got it right after changing it to fit in with modern Christianity in the late 1980's.  Out of the World Wide Church of God you will find a whole bunch of splinter groups that have the same COG, (Church of God) suffix but they have done away with much of the Hebrew Roots Movement. Now one large faction of the movement calls themselves 119 ministries.

Not only does the New Testament not command Torah-observance. The New Testament teaches AGAINST Torah-observance. Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days"  The 119 Ministries (A large group within the Hebrews Roots Movement) teaches these false doctrines.

What does the Hebrew Roots Heresy teach?  Well I'm glad you asked.  First of all they have removed Jesus from the equation by renaming him.  Jesus is now called Yashua.  If you were to go to a 119 ministries cult meeting and say the name Jesus, it would be like going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and saying: "My name is Don and I USED to be an Alcoholic".  In the AA group meetings, you will be an Alcoholic until the day you die even if you never take a sip for the rest of your life. Saying that you USED to be an Alcoholic makes you a heretic to them.  I know, because I actually attended one of their meetings with a friend and said that.  They were all appalled and excoriated me for saying that.  We are talking about taking Jesus out of Christianity.  "None other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".  Acts 4:12 There's one huge red flag for you. They also keep the Sabbath and many of the Old Testament Feasts.  They have a diet which is considered to be a vegetarian diet by many; and they like to grow beards.  But they have a whole dictionary full of cult jargon that they use to describe their beliefs; and if you don't have a translator of Hebrew Roots words than you are going to have to rely on the Church leadership's honesty and integrity to steer you in the right direction.  Sound Familiar?  They also teach mostly old testament doctrine.  The Jews for Messiah Facebook 'About' page states their purpose fairly plainly.  They are still waiting for the coming of the Long-awaited Messiah; who apparently has yet to come. The purpose of the Hebrew Roots Movement or Heresy is to convert Christians into Jews.  If you were to do a Google search on the Hebrew Roots Movement you would find a whole bunch of anti-HRM blogs that warn you not to join that cult.

Christ's Gospel vs. Hebrew Roots YouTube

Ashmore is really out there spiritually.  He is doing this stuff in broad daylight.  Now, we understand that the majority of the ntcc'rs and Ashmorgites all think we are 'of the devil' because we speak out against these cults.  Please, please, please do yourself a huge favor and do a little bit of research before signing up for a new cult.  Now Ashmore has just been put in the position of having to do damage control.  He either has to deny that the Jews for Messiah group is part of the Hebrew Roots Movement which by all accounts they don't deny, or try to convince people that this new movement is not a cult, or he might just play the ignorance card and say he went there because he likes the pictures.  There are some folks on JRA's friends list that are part of the HRM and I wouldn't be surprised if JRA rolls up his sleeves and dives in head first, but you can't say that we didn't warn you.

I have a friend who used to be in the ntcc for maybe 2 or 3 years, who got out and remained a Christian and was a big part of his own church back home.  He became a youth minister and had a great life ahead of him.  Recently he told me about the 119 ministries and started throwing around terms like Yashua, Y'shua and Torah.    I tried to reason with him, but there was no changing his mind.  He already started growing the beard, (like Ashmore), and he was on the diet and he was keeping the feasts and all the other sacraments and beliefs that are kept by the 119 ministries of the Hebrew Roots Movement.  Talk about jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire!

They are also a lot like Dawkins, Marx and Charles Taz Russell (other cult leaders) in that they don't believe in Christmas.  RWD was the Grinch that stole Christmas away from what was left of the Norton Family after he coordinated the Matriarch, Barbara Norton Warwick's abandonment of her 15 year old pregnant-by-rape daughter, Lisa and her special needs brother, Terry, leaving them in an empty house that was pillaged by Davis to include the removal of their Christmas tree and presents. Ashmore finished it off by labeling Lisa and her friend Lori as whores and sluts and leaving them bereft of friends and family.  I wonder if it hurt the feelings of those girls to have a so-called minister call them sluts and whores from the pulpit?  This is the guy that many of you are choosing to follow. Can such a person be saved and capable of leading people to Christ and Heaven?  Anything is possible, but I'm certainly not wanting to experiment with a new splinter group of the ntcc.

Will a Man Rob God?

Did Jesus Tithe?  Tithe Instruction Cartoon Video

A question that was asked back in the book of Malachi deserves to be answered today. Will a Man Rob God?  Many have translated this scripture to mean, "Will a man not pay his tithe".  If you are in the ntcc and you do not pay your tithe, you are a God Robber, according to everyone who steps behind an ntcc pulpit.  NTCC preachers are all taught to say, "All Christians pay tithe and give in offerings" every time a collection plate makes its rounds in an ntcc church.  We've delved into the Old Testament teachings on tithe and pointed out a few facts about tithe that the ntcc will not expound upon:

1.  Abraham gave a tenth of his spoils of war (not a tenth of everything he owned) to Melchisedec out of his own free will, not because he was commanded to, years before the law of Moses came into existence.

2.  When the law of Moses was passed down to the Children of Israel, every tribe was given an inheritance except for the Levites.  They were selected out of all the tribes to perform the service of the tabernacle and execute the laws of Moses pertaining to sacrifices.  Tithe was paid once every three years; and it pertained to agricultural gifts, not 10% of everything they owned or every wage they made before anyone else got their greasy hands on it.

3.  In the Old Testament tithe money went towards supporting the Son's of Aaron and the priesthood; whose lot was to perform the service of the Levitical order.  The Priests had no inheritance - no land. The Agricultural tithe was to feed the Levites, not to get them rich.  Tithes were also given to the Stranger, the Widow, and the fatherless according to Dueteronomy 26:12.  When is the last time you saw the ntcc GIVE anything to the Stranger, the Widow or the Fatherless?

4.  The 'God Robber' doctrine was instituted by the ntcc in an attempt to bring guilt into a person's life if they don't practice giving 10% cash before any deductions.  10% cash before deductions is not taught anywhere in the entire bible.  The ntcc used to put signs up near the doors of the main sanctuary in Graham with a picture of a gun pointing at them and the question, "Will a Man Rob God"?

Image: A man in a suit holds handgun. Will A Preacher Man Rob God by collecting tithes and not taking care of the widow, the immigrant, the orphan?
Will a Preacher Man Rob God?
Where does your tithe money go?
How do you know?
Can you look at the church books?
Why not?  What are they hiding?
Does your tithe support the Stranger,
 the Widow and the Orphan?
Or does your leader build himself
 another mansion and add another
 luxury car to his collection?
 Is that what Jesus did?

What does the ntcc say about tithe in the New Testament?  I'm glad you asked.  The word "Tithe" is mentioned twice in the New Testament.  In Mathew 23:23 and Luke 11:42; and in both instances we find Jesus rebuking the Pharisees for making a big show out of it, while neglecting love and judgment.  Keep in mind that the law of Moses was not fulfilled until Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice on the cross.  So, as Jews, THEY were required to keep the law; but they missed the heart of God - showing love.  But we are no longer under the law and therefore not required to pay tithe.  "Well," the ntcc-indoctrinee says, "tithe came before the law, when Abraham paid."  No. (1) Abraham freely gave a tenth of the spoils of war. (2) Not only that, but other things happened before the law, that we no longer do.  Animal sacrifice was instituted in the Garden of Eden when God clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins to cover their sins. Heb 9;22  But we no longer sacrifice animals.   You aren't going to go out and kill a goat every time you sin, are you?  Don't let ntcc false doctrine dupe you with guilt trips and catch phrases like the following video uses. Search the scripture.

This Sunday (yeah) **Of course, in ntcc it would say "This PAYday (or else)"**

We also find the word "tithes" written a few times in the New Testament.  Luke 18:12 is about another Pharisee who brags about paying tithes: "I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I possess".  But we find that the Publican who said: "Be merciful to me, a sinner" was justified and not the ntcc hypocrite, (or Pharissee), whatever you want to call him.

Unlike Jesus, Who seldom used the words tithe or tithes, NTCC harps on tithe in every service. Unfortunately, the church world is full of preachers willing to twist scriptures in order to get people to cough up their cash into the church coffers; where it disappears into a black hole of no accountability.  Just like the NTCC, these religious hucksters fleece their flock ; and they do it with style, and in a manner that targets different audience groups like farmers, rappers, young folks, and even disco dancers. We have dispersed a couple more of these instructional videos throughout the remainder of the post in order to break up the text and provide comic relief.  But ask yourself, Are they advocating paying tithe?  To whom?  What for?  And, please, remember the very first cartoon video's instruction that teaches us to ask for scriptural proof of any doctrine.

Redeeming The Bad Tithe Rap (Accountants) Video

Highlights:
This video showcases mad rhyming skills and some of the funniest dance sequences with "The Sprinkler", "New Kid", "Hammer-Time" and others.  But it's mostly catch phrases, lots of repetitious chanting, some pretty lights and someone else's rap song (Flo Rida's "Low").  Advertisers use these same techniques to sell things.  They package them and call them "Jingles" or "Commercials".  This video is no different.  It is a 4 minute ad that is 'selling' you on the need to pay your tithe, and it is prefaced by a 30 second introduction by the preacher interacting with the performers like a hype man building up a rapper or a Barker introducing the next carnival act.  However, there are no New Testament Scriptures that support what these men are teaching by using a catchy tune, repetition, and showmanship.  Keep your eyes on Jesus; He is The Word.

Back to our search for tithe in the New Testament:  We find the word "Tithes" written 4 times in Hebrews 7:5-9, where the Bible talks about the account again of Abraham paying a tenth of the spoils to Melchisedec.  Nowhere in Hebrews 7 will you find a commandment carried forward to New Testament Christians mandating them to pay 10% tithe cash to their churches or pastors.  In verse 11 you will find a question:

"If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron"?

If the law of Moses or any of the sacrifices, feasts or tithing rules brought about perfection, why would there be a need for an eternal priesthood in which Jesus would spring up out of the tribe of Judah?  And if He required tithe of His followers, why would He not mention tithe as a mandate one time in the New Testament?  The only time He did that was when He was speaking to Pharisees who were still bound by the law of Moses to pay tithes.  We are not bound by the law of Moses.

The following video had us really laughing.  It's artistic and plays on words and emotions.  There are also a couple of scenes that are just wrong, even in a joking context.  Unfortunately, churches today are using this stuff to fill their coffers; but that is not supported by the New Testament.  God never intended tithe to be a way for New Testament 'leaders' to get rich off His people. Tithe has always been about caring for the poor, the widow, and the fatherless.

Tithe Rap (Farm Version) Video

The ntcc uses a lot of other scriptures that have to do with giving offerings; and they attempt to apply those scriptures to mandatory tithing.  But there just is no link to voluntary giving or even taking care of the Pastor with carnal gifts that can be directly linked to tithing.  We have never said or advocated anything against giving freely; but when you get a bunch of scamming and conniving con artists telling you that you are a God robber if you don't pay tithe, and that you will die and go to hell for not paying it, you are following a false doctrine.  Even the offering that Paul took up in Corinthians 16 which the ntcc uses in their false doctrine bylaws has nothing to do with tithe.  It is an offering for the poor saints in Jerusalem, not for a new Recreational Donkey for Paul to ride on.

We have condensed this as much as possible just to give everyone a refresher course on tithing.  If it's not in the bible and it's being taught as scripture, then it's called "FALSE DOCTRINE".  In the ntcc there is a whole lot of emphasis on paying tithe; but very little is said about where your tithe dollars go.  Why do you think that the ntcc is so secretive about their finances?  None of you know where your money goes.  None of you know where your church members' money goes.  If you are a pastor in the ntcc, House of Pancakes, Oops I meant to say House of Prayer, (Denis' Organization), Ashmore's Jesus Revival Ministries and you are being taught to pay tithe you are being taught a false doctrine  plain and simple.  You are being lied to and conned out of ten percent of your earnings.  What you might find even more alarming is where your money is going.  Don't you have a right to know?  Why would anyone get mad if you asked to see the church books so you could know for sure where your money is going?  If you are a pastor in the ntcc and you are teaching your members to pay tithe and calling them God Robbers, or sinners if they don't, or if you are implying in any way that they are going to go to hell if they don't pay it, or if they don't pay it on time, you are a false prophet and a teacher of false doctrine.

If you want to know where the majority of your tithe dollars are going take a look at the mansions at the top of this blog, and take a look at all the $20 bills that are floating around in the blog background (in the Web Version View).  That's your money.  Shouldn't you know how it is spent?  Wait for that quarter million dollar Recreational Vehicle (RV) to roll up in your driveway on your dime.  Ask the Overseer where the money came from to pay for him to gallivant across the United States on an all expense paid vacation.  If you don't give enough in the offerings, he'll leave right in the middle of revival and find another ntcc brain washing center that will give him and his wife enough money to get to the next place, pay for his RV and go shopping along the way.   Go ask Kekel to let you take a look in his garage at the nice cars he owns or to take a tour of his mansion.  That's where your money is going.  You have heard the Testimonies.  The works overseas are struggling and expected to not only pay all of their own expenses but to catch up all of the money that the ntcc leaders say the last preacher owed them.  The funny thing is, you don't know that for sure.  There is no proof. They don't take you at your word. Why should you take them at their word?  Let's crack open those books. Let's see what the previous Pastor has to say for himself.  Don't just blindly accept Kekel's or anyone else's word for it.  Let's see that proof they're always talking about.
