Smorgasborg (note the 'g')

smorgasbord:  From Wiki:

"The Swedish word smörgåsbord consists of the words smörgås (open-faced sandwich) and bord (table). Smörgås in turn consists of the words smör (butter) and gås (goose). Gås literally means goose, but later referred to the small pieces of butter that formed and floated to the surface of cream while it was churned.[3] These pieces reminded the old Swedish peasants of fat geese swimming to the surface.  The small butter pieces were just the right size to be placed and flattened out on bread, so smörgås came to mean buttered bread.

...guests can help themselves from a range of dishes laid out for their choice. ...  In a restaurant, the term refers to a buffet-style table laid out with many small dishes from which, for a fixed amount of money, one is allowed to choose as many as one wishes."

Well, recently an anonymous commentator on Jeff's blog noted this ntcc trend:  "A minister and his family have a teenage daughter that’s about to graduate or shortly after she graduate’s High School; gawd calls this family back to Graham. Within 6 months the daughter is married off to a minister riding the bench at Graham 10 years older than her and life continues in NTCC."  Anonymous comment from "Daddy, Can I Invite A Girl Out To Play"

We note the similarity of the borg practice to the Swedish meal custom called Smorgasbord:

In like fashion we see the ntcc forcing families back to Washington to lay out a feast of open-faced young girls ready to be goosed and ogled by desperate ministers who have been living a forced life of celibacy due to ntcc rules prohibiting normal dating.  These fellows have lowered their standards to where they now think it is normal or okay, or worse, acceptable or desirable to want to hook up with a young teen, a minor, far younger than they are.  This is what so-called 'sinners' call jail-bait, in reference to the illegal nature of the relationship.  But in ntcc it is full-speed-ahead.  These things ought not to be so.  If the brothers would have freedom to choose whomever they want, in or out of ntcc, they would not be lusting after barely pubescent girlies.  It just isn't normal.  And in America it is illegal.  But in ntcc, the drool is flowing over these young girls, the cream of the crop, while the ministers prepare to flatten them into a life of servitude to the borg's rules.

Yes, for the mere price of asking the 'pastor's' permission, and running the gauntlet of fellowship-hall humiliation, these 'guests', the ministers, can 'help themselves ...to a buffet-style table laid out with many small [young] 'dishes'..."   smorgasbord aka smorgasborg!

Seriously, folks, if you plan on being a minister of holiness, you should not be lusting after little girls.  If you are a minister, you should not need someone else's permission to talk to a woman.  And if you are a minister, you should have enough sense to recognize that these young girls are still children, not dating material.  They are souls to be guarded, not exploited!

NTCC makes their young girls into little dishes; presenting them in a Smorgasborg for the older ministers to ogle, 'date', and 'marry'. Yech!

Repulsive?  Disturbing?  Inciting?  It is the ntcc that creates, nurtures, and approves of this twisted environment.  The board members' families lead the way in these smorgasborg lopsided relationships.  ntcc is a very unhealthy environment.  The Word says to let all things be done decently and in order.  These relationships are indecent and disorderly.

Memorial Day

Please take time to honor our veterans and their families today.

Here is a wonderful place to begin, found on the Reed's blog:

http://onelessstone.blogspot.com/2011/05/remembering.html

Thank you, vets and families, for giving of yourselves to us.

Now, as Jeff Collin's aptly pointed out in his post "Happy Memorial Day" it is up to us to honor their sacrifice by protecting our freedom from tyrants like davis and the ntcc cult.

The Only Good Cat, Is A Dead Cat: Part Two of the ntcc No Pet Rule Now Called a 'Policy'

"The only GOOD cat is a DEAD cat!" --r w davis
I have to confess that for years I subscribed to this idiotic mantra, cringing at the mere thought of cats, yelling "Amen!" when davis 'preached' against these fuzzy four-footed creatures, adding my story of a vindictive cat waiting under the bed to scratch my ankles for a previous accidental encounter with its tail under my foot.  Now I look back at all this and wonder; "What do pets have to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ?"  The answer, of course, is nothing.  Pets have nothing to do with the gospel of Christ.  And neither does r w davis.  davis just used the gospel of Christ to cull a group of "loyal" = "tithe-paying" followers.  And 'preaching' about pets has everything to do with following.  It is just one more control mechanism, one more gauge to test davis' disciples' loyalty to their fearful leader.

Davis would love for you to flip the switch!
davis used to get his followers all "whipped-up" (see above picture) shouting about such no-pet nonsense from the pulpit, letting people know where their loyalty had better be with commanding statements like, "Don't invite me to your house if you have a cat; I won't come." He would stand there with an impudent thrust of the chin and raised eyebrow, with a slight turn of the head, glaring down at the crowd to see who is showing wide-eyed fear and shaking their heads no, silently bringing themselves once again into subjection to this tyrant davis, as if to say, "Oh no, Pastor; we won't have any pets.  Please, please, please come to our house.  We want to be next week's pulpit fodder when you blast us from on high for serving you that 'pine-bark junk' instead of your favorite coffee and mistakenly roasting a beef when you only want pork."   Could this fascination with pork, the other 'white' meat be a subliminal problem davis has with anyone or anything that isn't 'white'?

Then the 'preaching' would continue:
"You know; cats carry more diseases than any other creature!"  Another volley of "Amens" would rise from the faithful, mothers would shudder and draw their children closer, fathers would make a mental note to go to the pound with 'Whiskers' right after service, and single brothers would pray for "the opportunity" to send any stray to meet its Maker, dispatching them by crossing that white line on the side of the road or (crossing another line, the line of common decency) by drowning them in a sack tossed over the bridge, callously ignoring little kitten mews for mercy; the davis disciple throwing his shoulders back to shrug off conviction, leaning his head back to laugh, congratulating himself that this deed, when shared boastfully at the 'fellowhip' table, would somehow bring him closer to the one he admires and wants to be, 'pastor' davis.  Let's all bow in reverence to a man.  Ahem.  Idolaters!

You think we are making this up?

Think again.  It's been discussed at length in other blog posts at other times:

Isn't this one of the cutest videos you've ever seen?  Puppies are just precious!

But to strange minds like rodger w. davis...  puppies and German Shepherds are things to kill...

Wendy and Lion were two beautiful German Shepherds owned by michael c. kekel and rodger w. davis. These two dogs came from the same litter. They loved to jump the fence that separated them and go play together. davis ordered elliot f. gesang to kill these dogs. So elliot f. gesang took Wendy and Lion out in the woods and shot them dead.

Could you kill an innocent pup like the one in the following video?

Beagle Puppy Howl Watch Below or on YouTube

In a separate incident rodger w. davis ordered another minister to take a whole litter of puppies and chop off their heads with an axe; the other minister did so, crying.

Child abusers torture animals in front of kids to terrify them, sending them the message: "You're next!"

Serial murderers start with killing animals; they say they do this "To see what it feels like to kill something."

It's all about control / domination -- perverse pleasure at killing innocents [puppies] and innocence [the trust you had in that power monger who orchestrated this test of your loyalty to him to see if you would break your own code of decency and ethics to be obedient (subservient) to him.]...

It's no joke.  davis is sick.  He wants to break you; so he can run your life in order to profit ($$$) himself.  Dead puppies?  You gotta be kidding us!  When we see puppies we think, "Oh, so cute!  They need shelter and food.  Let us take you home and love you!"

When davis sees puppies he sees $$$ leaving his wallet.  That is intolerable to a man whose god is the 'almighty dollar'.  He uses these puppies for his gain.  "Kill 'em all" and I will know that you will fall on your sword for me...

Sick.  Sick.  Sick.

A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.
Prov. 12:10

Once again we see rodger w. davis' actions placing him on the wrong side of the Word of God.  Could you kill these innocents to please r w davis?  Why?  The bible clearly states that the righteous man regardeth THE LIFE of his beast.  The righteous man does not randomly slay innocent puppies for perverse pleasure!  davis has shown that he is wicked, his tender mercies [are] cruel.  Why stay and be part of a group run by a "wicked" man with "cruel tender mercies"?

NTCC IS A CULT Just Based On What They Are Saying ...

On a previous thread an ntcc apologist / loyalist left the following anonymous comment:

"Romans 1:29–32! try that cult saying!"--Anonymous.

This comment furnishes a new topic on cult sayings and doings:

We will begin with just one verse and take each word and provide a brief definition followed by an example of a prominent ntcc 'leader' conducting himself or herself in a way which contradicts Christ:

Rom 1:29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

unrighteousness:  a deed violating law and justice:  Lying to foreign governments by saying ntcc missionaries are only tourists when instead they plan on residing in that country indefinitely  and by saying that ntcc will financially support their missionaries but instead the missionaries receive no financial support from the org.  The liar violating foreign government's VISA laws:  J. R. Ashmore, the NTCC Board Member (Secretary) who signed the untruthful "Letter Of Support" required for VISA application.  Joseph H. Olson,  then time NTCC Chief Executive Officer, and Rodger Wilson Davis, then time President of the NTCC, also took part in this deception  as described in this related post originally published by Deb and Greg, and copied by permission:  NTCC Lies and Broken Promises: Read More>>  [It details NTCC's lies and broken promises to NTCC missionaries.]

fornication:  illicit sexual intercourse, adultery:  r w davis guilty of adultery, dragged into a church at gunpoint by a man who tells r w davis "YOU BETTER PRAY!";  also allegations of r w davis molesting a young married woman whose husband worked for ntc

wickedness:  among other things malice--extreme hatred:  foaming at the mouth 'preachers' who say outlandishly hateful things like m c kekel's infamous description of  "filthy evil children as they throw hissy fits in the grocery store cookie aisle" m c kekel

covetousness:  greedy desire to have more:  more Cadillacs, more mansions, more recreational vehicles, more musical instruments for a collection, more houses, more land, more guns for the collection, more fashion designer clothes, more motorcycles, more trips to Europe to buy more fine crystal, more expensive furniture...  Need we say more?

maliciousness:  ill-will, desire to injure:  r w davis calling up missionaries Matt and Debbie Reed at 3 A.M. just to wake them up as 'payback' for them accidentally waking  up r w davis from a random nap when they called their 'pastor', davis, seeking comfort because their beloved spiritual son was killed in Iraq.  Malice like davis leaving the Hampton family homeless as 'payback' for Rich Hampton not selling his home and land to the ntcc; because ntcc offered less than market value for the property.

full of envy:  persons whose minds are filled with thoughts and emotions of envy:  Envy involves wanting what someone else has because the envious person feels inferior.  For example davis, a financially poor man from a cotton mill town, wants a Cadillac and fur coat for his wife; because he saw a preacher driving a Cadillac and wrapping a fur coat around his wife.  Or verna davis wanting another newer, bigger, more expensive recreational vehicle so she can think she is "really something" when she parades past others with smaller RVs.

murder:

Matt 5:21  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Matt 5:22  (partial)  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:

This covers statements like that made by m c kekel:  "I consider them my enemies!"  which kekel said because those people left ntcc.  That is actually beyond being "angry with his brother without a cause".  It actually is being filled with hatred = murder:

1 John 4:20  If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

So kekel's own actions prove he is a liar who does not love God.

And God's definition of hatred = murder proves kekel is a murderer with no eternal life abiding in him; for it is written:

1 John 3:15  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him

Little ones, let us not hate our brothers without cause and make ourselves murderers!  Just because someone no longer attends the ntcc that does not mean they have left God.

debate:  contention, strife, wrangling:  One only needs to watch davis or kekel 'preach' to see this in action. Or one can read some of the virulent posts kekel wrote on FactNet when he was hiding behind his proud name "The Whirlwind", equating himself with God by opening his comment with this scripture:

Job 38:2  Who [is] this that darkeneth cousnel by words without knowledge?

which comes right after this scripture:

Job 38:1  Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Then kekel proceeded to falsely accuse a certain minister's daughter of having illicit sex, falsely accusing the young woman of having a child out of wedlock:  debate, contention, strife, wrangling, lying, hatred, etc.

deceit:  crafty, guile:  see previous examples of olson and kekel lying.  Look at how davis set up his whole organization as an independent preacher who says you should not be independent.  Look at how davis teaches you to "just bring them out to church" so he can work in the cult doctrines of davis one slow step at a time.

malignity:  speak about (someone) in a spitefully critical manner [from Dictionary.com]:  This goes on in almost every ntcc service run by davis and kekel as they turn the pulpit into a vehicle from which they launch character assassination grenades.

whisperers:  gossips:  board members and board members wives.  verna davis rolling her eyes and mocking a certain sister's family whispering, "I can't believe they brought him here."  said in reference to the sister's severely disabled brother being brought to the Graham chapel during the sister's wedding ceremony.

These are just a few examples of ntcc's 'top leaders' leading the way in bad behavior.  Each offence on an individual occurrence  could be forgivable.  But the sum total effect is a persistent pattern of abuse that radiates from the head of the organization.

As described in Isaiah 1 "the whole head is sick" and the rest of that chapter applies to ntcc too.  Read it for yourself; and see how well it fits, just as the scriptures in Romans 1:29-32 describe the ntcc cult sayings (and doings).

Why I left NTCC
By Casey Hayes
Thread #12

I want to explain to everyone why I left ntcc and why I am speaking out against them now. I was in ntcc from 1982 – 2006. Most of those years were as an ordained minister in good standing. When I first left ntcc in 2006, I just wanted to go away quietly, and not say anything negative. But after exhaustively reading all the complaints against ntcc, studying the issues, and talking to people firsthand—I am absolutely convinced that ntcc is a seriously messed up church organization; that it uses cult tactics to manipulate and control it’s preachers and their families; and that their main purpose is to make Davis and the Kekels incredibly rich.

I left ntcc, because I was completely disillusionedwith the whole organization, especially the leaders. It became very evident to me that 24 years of loyal service didn’t amount to a hill of beans, and that I would always be broke and in poverty if I remained in ntcc any longer.

Me, my wife and my two kids had just come back from 3 years of intense hardship in Puerto Rico. Although, the church eventually gave us some support there, it was lukewarm support, and Rev. Olson made it very clear that the church could not “afford” to help us more. I won’t go into the details here, but I will say that I sold my house and cars to go to PR, and spent $8000 of my OWN money. In the 3 years we lived there, we had NO furniture—and were broke most of the time. I even got very sick down there (so sick I couldn’t work), but the leadership of ntcc acted like they didn’t care. All they cared about was—church reports and offerings. We were the Fourth couple to go to Puerto Rico (Medina, Casanova & Ramirez went before us), and that ALL the previous couples had also gone through intense financial problems down there, with lukewarm support, if any. It also became very apparent that Rev. Olson (who I have always looked up to), could not make ONE decision, no matter how minor, without getting permission from Davis. I thought he was CEO?

When I got back from PR I was physically, emotionally and spiritually drained. The church gave us a cold welcome. Some of you know what I am talking about. Now, friends of mine were happy to see me, but the leadership’s reception was a lot cooler. I had no possessions, no car, no nothing. But, what shocked me the most was how incredibly wealthy the Kekels and Davis were. Here we were basically starving (as are the missionaries in Panama and elsewhere), but the leaders are living in plush luxury. Olson said the church didn’t have the money to help us properly, but it is because the majority of the money is siphoned off to support the lifestyles of Davis and his family. Is this really what God had in mind? Is this really supported by the Bible? No way! As far as I’m concerned, ntcc is nothing but a big sham, and Davis is just a spiritual conman, who has duped a lot of people into giving all their money and time to make him and his daughter rich. Don’t tell me it’s God blessing, because it’s not. Anyone can guilt trip thousands of people into giving them 10% of their money and then live like kings. God has nothing to do with it.

Let me tell you the thing that pushed me to leave ntcc.Tanya and her mother were constantly coming up to me before and after church to tell me how much they were praying for me. At first I appreciated it, but after a couple of weeks it started getting annoying. I thought, “Why don’t your husbands come up to me?” Why the wives? But, it was basically, “Be ye warmed and filled…” while they went back to their mansions. Well, Tanya felt sorry for me so she gave me a bag full of old towels and sheets. They were wore out and had a hole in them, but I had nothing, so I gratefully took them. The next day I get in my $800 car and am driving down the street, when Tanya drives by in a brand new BMW 745!! That’s like a $100,000 car! It was then that I knew I had absolutely no value to ntcc. After 24 years of faithful service, I was worth a bag of old towels. You or me would have flipped someone $20 and said, go buy yourself some towels and sheets, but not the leadership of ntcc. They weren’t going to part with a penny of their wealth to help anyone, even though their sole income is from the tithes and offerings that you an I give. I calculated that I have given ntcc about $85,000 in tithe over the years. Doesn’t that count for anything? No way. Soon after that I see Mike Kekel tooling around in a brand new convertible Mercedes sports car ($65,000). Their son’s private schooling cost $18,000+ a year. You really get the impression that the Kekels have more money than they know what to do with—but don’t expect them to help you when you’re down and out. What does Tanya and her mother spend most of their time doing? Shopping (and everyone knows it).

Now, for those of you who think I jealous or envious, you’re wrong. I have no problem with a pastor living in a nice house and driving a new car. But, when almost all the church ministers are at the poverty level (and you know they are), while the leadership is living a life of intense luxury—something is seriously wrong. Why don’t you loyal ntccers open your eyes and see the obvious—that Davis has set up ntcc to make his family, and his only, incredibly rich. And he uses cult tactics to guilt trip everybody into giving their hard earned money to make them richer. (Even when I had no money to buy food for my family, or buy my kids clothes, I STILL paid my tithe). Are you aware that Davis’ house is valued at 1.1 million, and that Kekels’ is valued at $650,000. And both houses are decked out with the most expensive drapes, rugs, and furniture money can buy. Yet, if YOU want to buy a house, they will make you feel like you’re selling out God and putting the world first. How come they can have it, but you can’t?

So I left ntcc and it has been great. Yes, it was tramatic at first, because I felt like I had wasted 24 years of my life in a messed-up organization. But, God has blessed and I have made more money and been happier than anytime I was in ntcc. And I know it is God that has blessed me.They want you to think that those who leave ntcc are miserable, but it is ALL A LIE!!. Everyone I know who has left is doing great, and most find another church that appreciates them and lets them do what God wants them to do. There IS life after ntcc, and it is a whole lot better than what you have now.

Lastly, the reason I am speaking out against ntcc is because I am sick of the hypocrisy, the double standards, the fake holiness (where they dress holiness, but act without God’s love and mercy), the abusive pastors who never get punished, and the manipulation through fear and guilt of a lot of good men and women. NTCC has hurt a LOT of people. They have broken up families. They have destroyed good, godly men and women. They have caused much emotional and spiritual damage—sometimes permanently. Why does Tanya and her mother intentionally break up a marriage if one of the couples decides not to attend ntcc anymore? Where is that in the Bible? I thought Jesus said that what God has joined together, man should not separate? What hurt the most for me, was hearing that Davis and Kekel were going around lying about me, and saying I “misappropriated” money sent to us in PR. God and the angels in Heaven know that is a complete lie. They also say I left the church, because I wanted “money”. Sure I do—I was always living in poverty in ntcc, so why not want some money now that I’m out? I’m just trying to take care of my family like the Bible teaches. Davis and Kekel sure love money, and nobody seems to have a problem with that. At least I get my money honestly, without manipulating poor families into giving what they cannot, or jacking people up.

I honestly don’t know why some of you are still in ntcc. I guess, because they are so secretive of everything, and don’t let you talk to others in different works, you don’t see how bad things really are. When you do finally leave and look back with 20/20 vision, you’ll be shocked by what you see. And you’ll wonder why you didn’t leave years ago.

Part 2: NTCC Missionaries Suffer Poverty While NTCC Board Members Live In Luxury

kekels drive luxury cars
while ntcc missionaries
struggle for basics
This BMW looks like the one Casey Hayes described seeing the kekel's driving around in when Casey came back from being a starving ntcc missionary to Puerto Rico...  Good to know the ntcc can afford to buy expensive luxury cars and motor homes for its Executive Board Members for their private benefit; but ntcc can not afford to take care of its missionaries' basic needs like food, shelter, furniture???  Who is scamming whom here folks?  Keep paying those mission fund pledges.  The "World Missions Director" needs another $325,000 Recreational Vehicle to drive around in while raising more money for ntcc, a ?non-profit? while missionaries report hardships like no food or furniture....

Missionaries' Testimonies:
1)  Veronica Medina Reports Hardship While Missionary to Puerto Rico for ntcc:

Following is a comment made by Veronica Medina, Former NTCC Missionary to Puerto Rico, NTCC Bible School or Seminary Instructor, and Minister. Her comment appeared on The Dispatch, a Washington state online newspaper that ran a series of five articles about the NTCC by reporter Bruce Smith. The articles no longer appear in the Dispatch Archives.

Here is Veronica's comment:

Article comment by: Veronica Medina

Hi Bruce,
My name is Veronica Medina. I attended NTCC from 1971 to 1985. My husband and I always used our own money to move where ever RW Davis thought we should minister. Our last move was to Puerto Rico. We were led to believe that the organization would support us as missionaries there. We sold everything we had, packed up our 2 very young children and went there with great hope. After we paid our own airplane fare there and spent all the money we had to get established, we asked and did get money from NTCC to take care of some deposits needed. It was around $700. Little did I know that there would be no more money. It came to the point where "we had no money", not even enough to feed our children. I will never forget my sorrow when we attended a church down the street and my son who was 5 years old, was brought to me from Children's Church because he had the "dry heaves". You see, he had no food in his stomach to vomit. To make a long story short, my husband got a job working for $25 a day. We ended up getting (and I am ashamed to say it) on welfare. I admit I didn't tell NTCC that part because I
knew we would have to pay "tithes" on that money, but we needed it desperately. My husband and I both got very ill while in Puerto Rico and as a result did not have money for rent. I wrote to the leadership in NTCC explaining our plight. Did they respond? Oh yes, with a $100 LOAN. That was the last straw. We resigned and wanted nothing more to do with them. By the way, the explanation given to everyone was "the Medina's left for filthy lucre". I need to tell you, at the time I
thought we were a single incident of their cruelty. But I have since learned that this is a pattern for them. They have no conscious when it comes to their ministers and missionaries. My story is just one
story out of many.
By the way - life only got better after we left.

Old Comment by Vic Johanson concerning ntcc receiving Missions Pledge monies for a mission that was CLOSED!

Vic Johanson said...

Well, I know that I paid for months on a pledge for Panama, only to find out that the work had been closed and NTCC had no one over there. When I busted them out, they acted all offended and came up with an interesting yarn about "escrowing" the money.

Seems like these "escrow" accounts are quite lucrative for them.

OK, it was a Mercedes SLK 55 AMG. This is a top of the line model. Officially it is a "roadster" and not a "convertible"-- but the hardtop comes off. I'm sure Kekel was just confused about the definition of convertible. It retails for $65,000, has a 5.5L V-8 with 355 hp. I'm sure he needs all that horsepower to pick up all the people he's bringing out to church...

The Twenty Fourth Elder or Snake Oil Salesman?

R. W. Davis, Ph.D., President
Ph.D = Piled Higher n Deeper
I remember when RWD and Verna flew in for a visit to the Church in Newport News, VA.  At the time they expressed their discomfort in riding in the Dorsie's "Egg Beater" car; so they asked me if I could haul them back and forth to the hotel.  At the time, I thought it was an honor and volunteered for the privilege of taking them back and forth to the hotel and the airport in Norfolk.

  • On one trip to a church service RWD asked me, "How much money do you got saved up?"!
  • That was an uncomfortable question for me; because here I was, an E-6 in the Army, making about 30k per year plus benefits; and I didn't have anything saved up!
  • I told R-dub, "Not much" which was an exaggeration for "Nothing, Sir".
  • Verna replied, "You ought to be a Millionaire by now".
  • What a joke!

I bet rwd gleaned a few thousand in pocket change alone off of me.  And let's not forget all the tithe, double-tithe, Sunday Night Budget Offerings, Building Pledges, Missions Pledges, Servicemens' Home Rent, S.H. Food Fees, Offerings, Revival Pledges, Gas Fees, and other "Blessing the Man of God" donations over all the (13) years I was in ntcc!!!!  Because, after all, "All Christians pay tithes and give in offerings."  ntcc made sure to announce that at all five services per week and every time they assembled, browbeating everyone into giving; or else in ntcc you would not be considered a Christian unless you "Give 'til it hurts."
  • But at the time I was being shaken down by r w (rdub) and verna (victoria)  davis, all I can remember thinking was
  • What a poor steward I had been over what God had given me!
  • BALONEY!!!
  • Now, looking back on the money we all gave for all the different offerings that were taken up and
  • how the borg treats everyone who is not related to a board member:
  • G.I.s -- as money bags
  • members -- as "strong backs, but weak minds"
  • pastors -- as "knotheads who took a whole bottle of stupid pills"
  • missionaries -- as non-existent tourists that support ntcc (very backwards!)
  • servicemen's home directors -- as puppies at the pound
  • ** neuter them before you give them a home
  • women -- "who should be like a flower -- look pretty and smell nice"
  • ** but remain barefoot and barren in the barrio, and last, but not least;
  • children -- as "filthy and evil as they throw hissy fits in the cookie aisle of the grocery store"
  • ... It's no wonder people are leaving the ntcc !!!!  Also known as the
  • No Tax Cash Cow == ntcc
One prominent couple who left was Matt and Debbie R.  They served in many ministerial roles within the ntcc as missionaries and servicemen's home directors for about 50 combined years of sacrifice and service.  Here's what Matt R. said, in part, of ntcc's financial misdealings:

"So when I made my next escrow deposit, I calmly asked the teller, would you please write down the balance of this account so I can check it against my books? My books said zero. She started writing and just kept right on writing! The figure that she wrote down about knocked me on my "donkey"! A little redneck lingo there for ya! She wrote down the sum of $279,000.00."

I should not have been surprised; but this figure was unbelievable to me.  When I read this it made me furious because of all the pressure over the years to give.  Matt and Debbie's church building was falling apart when they took over the work in Killeen, TX; and they asked RWD for some money to buy the supplies; while they would do the work for free.  "That's not your money, [Matt R.]" R-dub spewed out.  He was probably sitting in his 1.1 million dollar mansion when he rebuked Matt.  Matt R. was put in a position to bring people to a church that was falling apart or to extract the money out of his congregation.
r w davis told this minister, Matt R., to "take up an offering".
Meanwhile, the escrow, which is money held in an account requiring multiple signatures before it can be touched; this escrow account raised from money given by the local congreation, had $279,000 dollars in it; and yet r w daivs wanted Matt R. to "take up an offering"!

The escrow, in the ntcc's own words, is established for the purpose of  "building maintenance, expansion"; yet davis wanted Matt R. to pump the Killeen congregation for even more money?!!

r-dub and his band of crooks are worse than common thieves. They are Extortionists and should be hauled off to jail.

The ntcc has had escrow accounts on most of the Servicemen's homes and many other works; and this has been discussed at length many times over.  We embedded a copy of the escrow explanation letter.  This letter explains that 40% of what is left of the church member's tithe after bills and tithe are paid (double-dipping) is to go into an escrow.  In 13 years of living in servicemen's homes this concept was never explained to me or others who contributed thousands into these escrows.  If we knew that the money we were giving was going to sit around in a slush fund for years and eventually get zeroed out (Matt R. said his books showed zero balance when he took over the work;) and (name two board member's that wouldn't say, "Yes Sir" if asked for their signatures by rw davis to remove or misappropriate that money.).  Are we wrong for looking at this as theft by deceit or false pretenses?  Should we have been told where our money was going?

This whole disappearing escrow funds topic has been a bitter pill for me to swallow for many reasons.  We gave our unwavering loyalty to these people in addition to our money.  We sacrificed the quality of our lives so the "work of God" could prosper.  I can't count the number of offerings that were taken up for purposes that were supposed to be covered by the escrow account, according to the said purpose in the explanation letter.  I gave up everything precious and meaningful in my life so that they could take the money that we all gave and put it in an escrow account without using the money for its intended purpose.  The ntcc never gave financial statements detailing where all that money went.   We were taken for a ride.  We were sold a product that should have been free.

Here is an embedded copy of the ntcc's escrow explanation letter:

I've heard it shared that rwd is a great profit or a super apostle and even considered to be the "twenty fourth elder by some".  I had nothing but deep respect for rwd while I was a member of ntcc, but not any more!  We have to look at the roots of r.w. davis to discover his true nature.  rdub was a salesman and he brought all of his pyramid scheme sales techniques into the ministry  and applied them to the gospel.  A pyramid scheme is just that.  The top block in a pyramid is where all the money is.  It's where the richest of the rich dwell.  In ntcc, that is Graham, Wa.  The bottom blocks support the weight of the entire pyramid; but the folks on the bottom, though they make up the largest percent of blocks in any row, are the poorest and have the least.  As you move up in the hierarchy you get more responsibility and a little more cash but still very little in comparison to those above you. The most 'successful' pyramids make only those at the top rich.  Those underneath them make very little or they are in the negative.

Snake Oil -- Good For Whatever Ails You!
The archaic term snake oil salesman conjures up images of a tent revival minister preying on the poor and unsuspecting.  The Minister sells his false healings and prophesies like a snake oil salesman working in a carnival.

While taking their money and leaving them with nothing, they move on to the next town and con many more people into believing a doctrine that enslaves them for years.  Salesmen are taught to use their product and believe in what they are selling.  Many times they not only have to use it and believe in it but they have to convince others that what they are selling is more important then anything else they might want to spend their money on.  What separates the best salesman from all the rest is the ability of that salesman to overcome objections and convince the buyer that they need the item that is for sale.

The problem with rwd is that Jesus is not a product nor His gospel something to make merchandise off of!   If you look at the entire Corporation called new testament christian churches of America, incorporated, you will see a money making empire where those at the top are rich and getting richer; while those at the bottom are doing sweat shop labor and being used for everything they possibly can be used for.  This is a shrewd but diabolical business plan that was concocted by a man that does not care for the people that got him where he is today.

This model would not work in today's industries; because people would just quit and look for another job.  Folks in the ntcc are made to believe that if they leave they will suffer eternal damnation.  We all know this as fact.  The reason that many people do not leave ntcc is fear, plain and simple.  ntcc  say's "We don't believe we are the only church going to heaven." and that "Nobody is forcing anyone to stay."  But if you buy into their product you will soon find out that what they are selling is not God or salvation or anything; but a life that is controlled by fear.  Your reward is that you think you are going to heaven. Maybe you will; and maybe you won't.  If you adopt enough of their teachings into your life,  you also will begin to use people just like they do; and you will find out that without even knowing it you are more lost than the people you are trying to reach.

This is not a model that you find anywhere in the bible.  In God's word you find money being spent on those that are poor and widows and the fatherless.  Sure God's ministers can live of the gospel, and be supported by the church; but what these snake oil salesmen are doing for their own profit is sickening.  I really whole heartedly believe that if Jesus were walking the earth right now He would not be welcome in Graham.  He overthrew the moneychangers' tables in the temple; and He'd probably do the same in Graham, WA.  I'm really surprised that someone has not knocked r-dub off his feet.  Maybe they have; and we just don't know about it.

While the doors of ntcc are still open and people are still buying lives of fear, we will continue to warn folks that they are walking into a trap.  When people do a google search of the ntcc they will find this and many other writings on the blogs;  and perhaps they will be spared from the snake oil salesman and the false doctrines that they pedal.

We would encourage you to prayerfully consider a different church.  Look them up and find out what kind of doctrine they teach and if there is a price label on their gospel:
  • Are they selling anything?  Or do they offer God's most precious Son as a free gift?
  • Are they full of negativity and hatred like the ntcc?
  • Do they spew out warnings of judgement and hell?
  • What is the emphasis - a man's doctrine or Christ?

If the emphasis is the love of God then make sure it stays that way!

People that use salvation to get you hooked and then start pumping you for money are not in it for God!

Like the salesman, they want your money.  Their sole purpose is to convince you that the product they are pedaling is worth as many dollars as you can possibly give. If they try to get into your wallet, ask yourself:

  • Does God really need your money?
  • Did r. w. davis need your money?
  • Or could r wd get by with the millions he's collected?
Before you give any more money to over-stuffed ntcc coffers, find out what really happens to the money that disappears into ntcc's black hole of hidden financial dealings!

Take My Kids To ntcc? Not after reading this True Story by Sarah Goodwin aka "Cream of the Crop"

Children in ntcc were 'caged'
by needless man-made rules!

Sarah Goodwin / "Cream of the Crop" first shared her testimony on Jeff's blog, New Testament Christian Church, The Real Story on a thread titled "The Reeds" (Speaking of Matt and Debbie Reed.)

Jeff- I know this is off topic but I need to get it off my chest

I was completely robbed of any type of normal childhood because of NTCC. I get angry even to this day when I think about the abuse I suffered.
I don’t know if everyone was like this, but the “children should be seen and not heard” was practiced in my family. It’s like women and children don’t even exist.
In my opinion, NTCC treats women like they are inferior to men; they are not allowed to express their opinions. They are supposed to stand in the background and look pretty, agree with and do whatever their husband says. If you ask me, it’s complete nonsense and just another way to control people.
After my parents finished Bible school, they were assigned to various states to try and start up churches. Eventually, we were sent to Rhode Island to help another minister with his church. We were there for maybe a year, and then we were told we would be moving. NTCC told us go to Washington State to attend conference. We left Rhode Island and drove to Washington State. The back of our truck was loaded with all of our possessions. We had car problems along the way, and we had to empty half of our belongings on the side of the road. Talk about your worst nightmare. I have HORRIBLE memories from NTCC!!!!!
It’s complete brainwashing! I hated the fire and brimstone preaching!!! I guess they figured the louder they screamed the more anointed they were!?!
Shine on,
Sarah Goodwin

 Should Children only be
 "seen and not heard" ?!?

 Does the ntcc treat
men and women  as equals ?
 NO !?! Why not ?!?

Don and Ange say,

Do we think ill of Sarah's parents?  No. Not at all. We don't even know them. But if they are like the many ntcc parents we do know, then we believe they are just sincere people who really want to serve God. But what happens in the ntcc system is that sincere people are used. The ntcc preys on their innocent desire to serve God, and adds man-made rules (that the 'leaders' don't obey) until serving God is no longer what God intended it to be - Spirit and Truth; instead, in the ntcc, serving God becomes obeying unreasonable rules. The entire ntcc CULTure is stressful, unbalanced, and unhealthy.

We believe Sarah's parents were and are trapped in a group that teaches if you don't keep their rules, you will die and go to hell. If you leave their group, you will die and go to hell. If you don't obey all that the 'man of Gawd' says, you will die and go to hell. It's a vicious cycle of legalism in the ntcc. A system designed to keep people poor and dependent on ntcc forever.

We want to thank Sarah for allowing us to use this comment as a topic. From personal experience we can say it is not always easy to share these painful experiences. But each time the truth is told, it helps us heal. Each time we read of another person having similar experiences it proves to us that we were not alone in what we suffered.

Thanks again to Sarah, aka "Cream Of The Crop". Which reminds us, even rodger w davis, ntcc's founder,  taught that when an organization is corrupt, the best people, the "Cream Of The Crop", are the first ones to leave. =D

No children were hurt in the making of this blog post.  We pray your children will be spared the ntcc experience.  Sincerely, Don and Ange
