Perhaps the worst tragedy in the history of NTCC is the death at gunpoint of four members of the Moreno family.

It is our opinion that the many well documented abusive practices and false doctrines of the NTCC caused this tragic loss of four souls.

This Church Made Me Want To KILL MYSELF! ~ Suicide and the NTCC

We started working on this post on Memorial Day.  It's a sad but common theme that we often hear from folks who contact us to tell us about their NTCC eXperience.  So this article has been percolating for a long time; and we want you to know some things:

YOU'RE NOT ALONE!  We can't tell you the number of people who have contacted us and confessed this very same thing!  NTCC has that effect on people!  They really want to kill themselves.  Some have died.  Others have taken their families with them.  Still others have 'tried' suicide and been spared to tell their tale.

IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!  NTCC has been raping souls for 43+ years.  Their 'leaders' have established a system of abuse that includes the preconditioning or thought training to get you to blame yourself for their sinful acts against you.  Don't fall for that garbage.  They are guilty, not you.

THEY PLANNED IT!  They saw your love for God or your human need for love and knew they could exploit that.  They used what was good and innocent in you as a weapon against you, not caring what effect that would have in your life.

THEY COVERED THEIR SIN!  They already had a system of loyal followers who would lie for them and cover their sin for them.  When you tried to report the abuse taking place, these sycophantic suck-ups were all primed and ready to feed you the company li(n)e:  You need to find another church.  I can't receive that.  File a signed report in triplicate.  Did anyone else see that?  [Good we will run them off too...]

THEY BLAMED YOU FOR THEIR SIN!
They seduced you. They touched you inappropriately. They twisted scripture to justify their sin, saying,  Unto the pure all things [are] pure: ... [Titus 1:15 (p)]

But it was THEIR lust that drove them to sin.

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
James 1:14

And when they were done, they did not care that death would follow.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

NTCC A DESTRUCTIVE CULT!

Even if they didn't physically abuse you, they are still set up to tear you down and make you completely dependent on their system.  When you can no longer stand their legalism and leave, they have you trained to think everything was your fault.

BUT IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!

God never intended us to live under the law!  That's why Jesus came.  To usher in THE NEW TESTAMENT.  A testament of GRACE AND MERCY.  You don't have to keep the man-made rules of the cult leaders.  They are adding to the Word of God; which is forbidden by God.  Don't worry about what the NTCC 'leaders' think!  They are hypocrites who say one thing, but do another:

• Davis preaches adultery is sin; but Davis is an adulterer.
• Kekel used to preach wearing shorts was a sin; but Kekel encouraged his son Grant to wear shorts to play Football and Basketball in his private school.
• Olson says lying is a sin; but Olson lied to the foreign governments where NTCC ministers are missionaries, sending out "Letters of Support" but never supporting the missionaries.
• Phil Kinson preaches against fornication; but Feel-Good-Phil hooked up with a hooker in Okinawa.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER TO THESE HYPOCRITES FOR ANYTHING!

Just know this:

Ex member's Heartbreaking Testimony of Her Life in The NTCC

We recently saw this public profile of a former ntcc child who calls herself "Ex member".  This story is so heartbreaking to read.  NTCC  really is an unhealthy environment that hurts you, your marriage, and your children.  Thank God she has survived this and, we pray, will continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the truth!  Here is her testimony in her own words:

I was born into NTCC in 1981.(St.Louis MO) My young childhood was fairly Then when I was five my father did something that the NTCC deemed unforgivable: he lost his job due o a injury he received in the military. Therefore was unable to pay as much tithe b4. This did not ruin my parents dedication to this organization. My father was encouraged to do what ever work he could which included hard manual labor(which he was advised by his doctor not to do). My mother during this time asked if she could get a part time job just to make sure her kids(my brother and I) were fed. she was told know that she needed to remain at home to support her husband, and with the other ladies at the church supporting gods wrk. She then asked if she could get gov. assistance (just medicaid for us she wasn't looking for a hand out)and was told that god was testing our loyalty to him. my father would often "junk" (drive or walk with shopping cart down alleys looking for metal to sell to salvage places) he would barely make enough money to keep us fed, but would still pay tithe. then it got worst, my mother tried to get away she took my brother and I half was across the USA o be with her sister, but my father found us and the pastor in STL at the time prsured him in to bringing hr back into the fold this lasted for 2 ms then she left again filed for divorce and lost custody of my brother and I. Due to the church convincing my father hat she would turn us evil if we were raised out side of NTCC. She only got visitation. And was constantly hassled about that. As I grew up with little to know positive female influence . I became very shy and introverted. When I was 14 I tried to commit suicide, i had recently been told by a church member that knew my parents when they got married that the marriage had not been blessed by NTCC and that was why it failed I took this to mean that my being alive wasn't blessed by NTCC and therefore god himself. i wrote god a letter asking him that if I was wrong please spare me but I was trying to fix all the wrongs that had happened to my family, I took every pill in my fathers med cabinet and went to bed 15 mins later I was in the bathroom puking them up. I believed god answered me and I wasn't a mistake. from them on I started to look at thing differently I noticed more than before how "after church huddles" would literally move away from my father when he tried to join a conversation. I also stared asking questions about the rules that made no since to me. Basically I was told to keep my place as female and I child. I knew at this point that I had to get away, but couldn't until legally old enough to be on my 1 month before my 18th birthday I ran away.

Once again, we thank God for sparing this young woman's life and pray that she can fully understand the love of God in a real way in her own heart and learn that she is very valuable and important!

Moreno Tragedy

A very dark chapter of ntcc's history is the Moreno Tragedy.

In September of 2003 Roland Moreno murdered his pregnant wife, 5 year-old son, and then allegedly shot himself ending his life too.

Was it really a gun

 Or was it the ntcc / davis 
 false doctrine that 
 "children hinder  the
work of the borg lawd" ?! 

People who knew him were stunned.  He had been part of ntcc and wanted to go into servicemen's work.  But ntcc supposedly did not allow people with children to run servicemen's homes, although both the Bradeens and Taylors did so for years and years.  In the news article it was reported that when he found out his wife was pregnant, Moreno bought a gun.  He shot her, their boy, then called his ntcc pastor, Jake Espinoza, confessed, asked for prayer, and then allegedly shot himself dead.

How tragic.  ntcc should stop teaching the lie that "children hinder the work of gawd".  Especially since the man who teaches that false doctrine, Rodger Wilson Davis, made sure he and his second wife (after adultery, divorce, and marriage), Verna Mae, would have a child to raise.  They went out of their way to adopt a girl in the Philippines.  Some speculate that their daughter may be the illegitimate child of Davis with "another woman" - Elizabeth Haynes Reynolds, who is listed as the girl's birth mother on the Adoption Registry search for Tanya Tanya Maxamillia Reynolds Davis Kekel (Sister Kekel, wife of Mike/ Michael Craig Kekel, NTCC CEO):

We mention this adoption since it shows the significant double standard that exists in the NTCC, where the Board Members tell you to sacrifice, while they do whatever they wish.  These life-altering sacrifices, taught by the NTCC but not kept by NTCC leaders, have permanent deadly consequences.  These deadly double standards are enforced with rigorous public humiliation like yelling at pregnant women from the pulpit telling them "Lady, you are going to have to answer to God for ruining your husband's ministry!"  Well, who will answer to God for the despair that drove Roland Moreno to murder his son and pregnant wife when he learned she was pregnant?
