While reading some of the topics on old Factnet, I found many topics that are very telling of cult behavior in the ntcc. Some of this stuff has been rehashed on the blogs fairly recently; and other things have been forgotten. I figure now is as good a time as any to bring up some of this stuff. Our hope and desire is that people that attend the ntcc or are thinking about attending will see the warning signs and red flags that are waving in their faces and get while the getting is good. Here are some of the topics that are worthy of repetition:

Massah May I ... ??? |
1. Asking permission. Pastor is it alright if I go over to another brother's house to fellowship with him? Pastor is it alright if I get a ride to church from another brother? Pastor is it alright if I call a former pastor or member of the ntcc church that I used to attend? Pastor, is it alright if I go visit my parents? Pastor is it alright if I go to my father's funeral? Pastor is it alright if I take a week off and visit relatives on the way to conference? Pastor is it alright if I use money out of the general fund to fix the leaking roof because you won't allow me to use any of the hundreds of thousands of dollars sitting around in an escrow? Pastor is it alright if a brother answers the church phone when I'm using the bathroom and my wife is slaving over the hot stove and doesn't want to burn dinner? Pastor is it alright if I get a job that requires me to work a few hours on Saturday if it doesn't interfere with the church schedule? Pastor do I have to pay tithe on my income tax returns? Pastor is it okay if my wife goes to the hospital to visit a sister by herself? Pastor can I ask that almost divorced sister if she will talk to me 'on the wall' tonight? ~"Sure, brother, go ahead." Pastor can I ask that single sister if she wants to talk to me 'on the wall' tonight? "No." Pastor, Pastor, Pastor?
The sad thing is that most of the answers to these questions are "No!" or "You are going to do whatever you want to anyway!" -- using fear to make you decide against doing what you think is right.
2. Quotations:

with his Rolex and diamond pinky rings all davis needs to complete his pimp davis outfit is the fur coat and hat ensemble ~ r w wouldn't want a n*gg*r to show him up, right? |
a) "You might as well get saved because if you live in this house you are going to live by my rules." ~The 'great apostle' [yeah, right, whatever] speaking to his adopted half-Filipina daughter in all his wisdom~
b) "No one on earth cares about souls more than I do." ~another quote from R W Davis that could be true only if you look at people as money like rdub does ~ [ahem]
c) "Don't expect me to get all excited when you tell me your wife is pregnant." ~R.W. Davis, with the exception of the birth of his grandson Grant Kekel. ~
d) "...N*gg*rs..." ~ rodger wilson davis proudly proclaims from the pulpit his twisted view of all African Americans, including those he exploits as Uncle Tom token blacks. ~
e) davis taught he saw a preacher loading his wife in a fur coat into a Cadillac. davis declared he wanted to "know what that man knew". But davis was really saying he wanted what that man had (coveteousness / lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.) And now he has it; thanks to his system of con-games. ~
f) "Everything I have now, God gave it to me." ~RWD's quote can be translated: Everything I own now was purchased with your tithe dollars . He's not satisfied with the Jubilee model Rolex you already purchased for him. Now he wants the Presidential to show off your sacrifice = stupidity. ~
g) "You must have taken a whole bottle of stupid pills." ~ rw davis rails on the ministers in another semi-annually required conference that forces men to lose their jobs and struggle on in poverty while giving all they have for another r w davis mansion to be built. ~
h) "What is told to me in confidence will go with me to the grave." ~RWD and others have betrayed Pastoral confidence of their church members and used the pulpit to publicly blast people on the very confessions they made in confidence. ~
i) "There is only one teacher in this organization, everyone else is just an extension of my ministry." ~Rodger Davis ~ [how humble]
j) "Brethren, this organization IS Pastor Davis." ~Joe Olson~ [Need we say more?]
Many of the above quotes were mentioned on Factnet by various people; but I and many others have heard them also. We could write a book about all the material covered on Factnet; but we are going to keep this short and sweet. If anyone would like to contribute feel free.
