It Used To Be A Sin ... in My NTCC

A Photographic Journey into The Days of  Future Past Brought to you by the X-men.

We have been struggling to keep up with all the changes in the ntcc.  So much has taken place right under everybody's noses that when you take a step back and look at it all, it's astounding that so many old timers are still in.   What used to be a sin, is no longer a sin according to the ntcc. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so we'll try not to write a thousand words in this blog post; for the pictures are so much more meaningful than anything we can say.  The people in the pictures are doing fun and innocent things.  That's what people are supposed to do.  Can you imagine Churches in the ntcc getting away with this stuff in the ntcc 20 or 30 years ago?  The sad thing is that it's being run by the same hucksters and the lion share of all the money is going towards enriching the lives of Mike and Tanya Kekel.  Ask yourself seriously, Could we have lived like this back when RWD roamed the countryside in his Million Dollar RV?

Mal. 3:6  "For I am the LORD, I change not".

James Ashmore and The Hebrew Roots Movement

While visiting the Facebook page entitled James Ashmore's Commentary I noticed that he has made some changes, or given his page a face lift. He recently has visited and liked a Facebook page called "Jews for Messiah". Not only did JRA "Like" the Facebook page, but he also replaced the banner on his Facebook page, (James Ashmore's Commentary), with the banner from the "Jews for Messiah" Facebook page and shared pictures from their page. You might say big deal, who cares? Well it seems to me that JRA has spent the greater part of the last four decades preaching against other cults and churches and has been a big supporter of the ntcc being the last move of God on planet earth. The Jews for Messiah Facebook "About" page gives the description of what their Facebook page is all about: "Discussing the long-awaited Messiah promised in the Tanakh."

This word is defined as:
Tanakh is an acronym of the first Hebrew letter of each of the Masoretic Text's three traditional subdivisions: Torah ("Teaching", also known as the Five Books of Moses), Nevi'im ("Prophets") and Ketuvim ("Writings")—hence TaNaKh. Basically the Old Testament of the bible makes up what they are calling the Tanakh. - Wikipedia

Apparently they are still waiting for the coming of this Messiah; because the whole purpose of their Facebook page is to discuss the long-awaited Messiah. This group that Ashmore seems to like well enough to pattern his own page after is very secretive like the ntcc and Ashmore. They say that they will not argue about what they believe in. Any attempts to argue will result in you being 'unfriended', which is Facebook vernacular for 'disfellowshipped'. They seem to profess Christianity without mentioning Christ. They seem to believe in the bible but call it the Torah. If they are still discussing the long awaited arrival of the Messiah that was spoken of in the Old Testament, they need to get their noses in the New Testament and read all about it. Don't hide it behind a shroud of secrecy and call it something else.  This secretive tactic reminds us of the "movement" called the Hebrew Roots Movement.

Let's take a deeper look at the Hebrew Roots Movement.  First of all, it can only be traced back to the early twentieth century.  That means from 1 A.D. to 1901 that everyone else was in darkness because they didn't have this doctrine.  Much like the Holiness doctrine that the ntcc teaches, "holiness" sprung up out of nowhere in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Hebrew Roots Heresy sprang out of nowhere in the early part of last century and had its most profound impact when the organization called the World Wide Church of God began to teach Hebrew Roots Doctrine.  The founder of the Hebrew Roots Doctrine according to Wiki was Herbert W. Armstrong, (HWA) who was the RWD of the Hebrew Roots Movement.  Shortly after Armstrong's death in 1984, the doctrine was modified to be compatible with mainstream Evangelical Christianity. Imagine that, folks, it was changed.  This is what Kekel is trying to do with the ntcc.  By taking the old definitions of "holiness" out of the church bylaws, which were instituted by RWD, Kekel is attempting to make the ntcc's religion compatible with modern Christianity.  But let's consider this a little bit.  If the Hebrew Roots Movement is correct that would have to mean that all of the Christians were wrong from the early church all the way until the Hebrew Roots Movement got it right after changing it to fit in with modern Christianity in the late 1980's.  Out of the World Wide Church of God you will find a whole bunch of splinter groups that have the same COG, (Church of God) suffix but they have done away with much of the Hebrew Roots Movement. Now one large faction of the movement calls themselves 119 ministries.

Not only does the New Testament not command Torah-observance. The New Testament teaches AGAINST Torah-observance. Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days"  The 119 Ministries (A large group within the Hebrews Roots Movement) teaches these false doctrines.

What does the Hebrew Roots Heresy teach?  Well I'm glad you asked.  First of all they have removed Jesus from the equation by renaming him.  Jesus is now called Yashua.  If you were to go to a 119 ministries cult meeting and say the name Jesus, it would be like going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and saying: "My name is Don and I USED to be an Alcoholic".  In the AA group meetings, you will be an Alcoholic until the day you die even if you never take a sip for the rest of your life. Saying that you USED to be an Alcoholic makes you a heretic to them.  I know, because I actually attended one of their meetings with a friend and said that.  They were all appalled and excoriated me for saying that.  We are talking about taking Jesus out of Christianity.  "None other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".  Acts 4:12 There's one huge red flag for you. They also keep the Sabbath and many of the Old Testament Feasts.  They have a diet which is considered to be a vegetarian diet by many; and they like to grow beards.  But they have a whole dictionary full of cult jargon that they use to describe their beliefs; and if you don't have a translator of Hebrew Roots words than you are going to have to rely on the Church leadership's honesty and integrity to steer you in the right direction.  Sound Familiar?  They also teach mostly old testament doctrine.  The Jews for Messiah Facebook 'About' page states their purpose fairly plainly.  They are still waiting for the coming of the Long-awaited Messiah; who apparently has yet to come. The purpose of the Hebrew Roots Movement or Heresy is to convert Christians into Jews.  If you were to do a Google search on the Hebrew Roots Movement you would find a whole bunch of anti-HRM blogs that warn you not to join that cult.

Christ's Gospel vs. Hebrew Roots YouTube

Ashmore is really out there spiritually.  He is doing this stuff in broad daylight.  Now, we understand that the majority of the ntcc'rs and Ashmorgites all think we are 'of the devil' because we speak out against these cults.  Please, please, please do yourself a huge favor and do a little bit of research before signing up for a new cult.  Now Ashmore has just been put in the position of having to do damage control.  He either has to deny that the Jews for Messiah group is part of the Hebrew Roots Movement which by all accounts they don't deny, or try to convince people that this new movement is not a cult, or he might just play the ignorance card and say he went there because he likes the pictures.  There are some folks on JRA's friends list that are part of the HRM and I wouldn't be surprised if JRA rolls up his sleeves and dives in head first, but you can't say that we didn't warn you.

I have a friend who used to be in the ntcc for maybe 2 or 3 years, who got out and remained a Christian and was a big part of his own church back home.  He became a youth minister and had a great life ahead of him.  Recently he told me about the 119 ministries and started throwing around terms like Yashua, Y'shua and Torah.    I tried to reason with him, but there was no changing his mind.  He already started growing the beard, (like Ashmore), and he was on the diet and he was keeping the feasts and all the other sacraments and beliefs that are kept by the 119 ministries of the Hebrew Roots Movement.  Talk about jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire!

They are also a lot like Dawkins, Marx and Charles Taz Russell (other cult leaders) in that they don't believe in Christmas.  RWD was the Grinch that stole Christmas away from what was left of the Norton Family after he coordinated the Matriarch, Barbara Norton Warwick's abandonment of her 15 year old pregnant-by-rape daughter, Lisa and her special needs brother, Terry, leaving them in an empty house that was pillaged by Davis to include the removal of their Christmas tree and presents. Ashmore finished it off by labeling Lisa and her friend Lori as whores and sluts and leaving them bereft of friends and family.  I wonder if it hurt the feelings of those girls to have a so-called minister call them sluts and whores from the pulpit?  This is the guy that many of you are choosing to follow. Can such a person be saved and capable of leading people to Christ and Heaven?  Anything is possible, but I'm certainly not wanting to experiment with a new splinter group of the ntcc.

Touch Not Mine Anointed

One of the ntcc's favorite scriptures to twist and misapply is:

1Ch 16:22 [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

From this scripture, ntcc get's its often repeated cult thought-stopping jargon:

"TOUCH NOT MINE ANOINTED"

In ntcc this phrase is interpreted to mean something very different than what God intended.  The ntcc says "TOUCH NOT MINE ANOINTED" means a person should never question the "MAN OF GAWD". [This is another cult jargon phrase that will require its own separate blog post.]  But does the scripture really mean that it is a sin to question or even challenge a person who claims to have been anointed by God?  Let's look at God's Word for answers.

David and Saul:

Both men were anointed by God.

  • Saul:  1Sa 10:1  ¶ Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured [it] upon his head, and kissed him, and said, [Is it] not because the LORD hath anointed thee [to be] captain over his inheritance?
  • David:  1Sa 16:13  Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

**Note the correlation between being anointed and having the Spirit of the LORD.**

Both men were appointed to be king.

But Saul insisted on hunting David down as a dog to slay him:

1 Sa 24  Link

David fled from Saul.  But when he was cornered in a cave, a unique event unfolded.  Saul entered the cave to "cover his feet".  David's men thought God had delivered Saul to die at their hands.  BUT DAVID STOPPED THEM:

1Sa 24:6  And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he [is] the anointed of the LORD.

1Sa 24:7  So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on [his] way.

This is a clear example that "touching" involves physical harm and is forbidden by the Word of God.

BUT look what the Word records in the very next verses.  David goes out of the cave and TALKS to Saul:

1Sa 24:8  ¶ David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.

1Sa 24:9  And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?

David then continues to TALK to Saul, while refusing to "TOUCH GOD'S ANOINTED":

1Sa 24:10  Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and [some] bade [me] kill thee: but [mine eye] spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he [is] the LORD'S anointed.

More of David's TALK is recorded in the next five verses:

1Sa 24:11-15

Nowhere does David violate God's commandment to

"TOUCH NOT MINE ANOINTED"

Yet David does TALK to Saul and challenge him for hunting David.

This is a clear example of a man of God, David, verbally challenging Saul to explain himself.  We know that God witnessed of David that he is a man after God's own heart [Act 13:22].  So David confronting Saul, the anointed king, for Saul's unrighteous behavior is clearly not a sin!

This is just one example of verbally challenging God's anointed that is not a sin.  It is "TALK", not "TOUCH"!  For other examples study God's Word recording Nathan challenging David regarding his adultery with Bathsheba and murder-by-proxy of her husband Uriah the Hittite [2 Sa 11 link, 2 Sa 12 link].  Read about the Apostle Paul rebuking the Apostle Peter, how Paul "withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed" "before [them] all" when Peter caused a "dissimulation", a schism in the body of Christ.  Think about what God is really saying [Gal 2 link].  Talking does not equal touching.

There is a right time to speak up against hypocrisy and deceit.

Maybe if Roland Moreno had stood up and challenged r. w. davis when rdub was railing on Roland's wife Maria (for looking at horses in a field) they'd all be alive today.  Roland, or even one of Roland's pastors who knew (about Moreno calling out the borg leadership about phil kinson's adultery with a hooker), could have stood up like David did to Saul  and questioned r. w. davis thus:

NTCCA, New Testament Christian Churches of America, Inc.
 Debbie Johnson Kinson
Why are you screaming at Maria when she didn't do anything wrong?
  • It is not a sin to stop and look at horses in a field.
  • davis, did you scream at your wife or daughter when she went to the Sea-Tac mall to spend hours shopping for more new clothes?
  • Weren't "souls lost and dying and on their way to hell" while tanya and verna cackled over the latest fashion faux pas they saw in some poor store clerk's or bible school student's attire?
  • Did you rail on your wife when the borg paid for your vacation in Europe where you shopped for fine crystal?
  • Did you scream at your wives for coveting more and larger diamond rings when that money could have been given to the poor?
  • Why didn't you rail on phil kinson for going to a whore for sex when "souls are lost and dying and on their way to hell"?
  • Do you think the women in that brothel will ever accept Christ knowing a so-called preacher, phil kinson, is a bigger whoremongerer than all their other 'clients'?
  • Why didn't you blame debbie johnson kinson for being so fat that phil didn't want to have sex with her, his own wife?  That is what you do to the wives of other men.
  • Why the double standard r. w. davis?
  • Don't you know that
WE SEE WHAT DOUBLE-STANDARD HYPOCRITES YOU AND YOUR NEPOTISTIC NTCC BOARD MEMBERS ARE!

 in happier times.
Perhaps if somebody had defended the Moreno family they would still be with us today.

But, sadly, nobody defended Maria or Roland.

And now they and their baby in Maria's womb and their precious little forever-young son Franky (Luis) are all dead; because davis wanted to protect jim johnson's son-in-law and hide philandering-phil kinson's adultery and promote that whoremongerer!

Was it worth it?

We'd take the Moreno family back any day of the week rather than associate with you hypocrites!

No Private Interpretation:

Do you see why God admonishes us not to have private interpretations of the Word?

2Pe 1:20  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Do you see why we are not to add to, or take away from, or wrest the scripture?  Violating these simple commandments from God will always bring death.  That is the harvest of the ntcc CULTure and false doctrines.  DEATH.

This stuff is important.  Think about what you have already seen in the ntcc.  Don't be a part of this murderous corporation.  They are not "of God".  They do not love souls.  They are just con-men on the take who don't care who gets used or destroyed or even murdered.  Don't be a part of that!  Instead, go to a church where the leadership exhibit the fruit of the Spirit [Gal 5:22-23] and demonstrate love for the brethren.

The bible says that all Christians are sealed by the Holy Spirit.  That means we are all God's anointed.  It also says that all Christians have the Spirit of Christ and the testimony of Jesus which is the Spirit of Prophecy.  As such we are all anointed and have the Spirit of Prophecy.   Additionally as Christians we are commanded to

Rom 12:10  [Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

When you do that then you can truly say you have fulfilled the scripture,

Psa 105:15 [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Additional Scripture References:

Sealed by the Holy Spirit:  2 Cr 1:22, Eph 1:13, Eph 4:30 link

Spirit of Christ:  Rom 8:9

Spirit of Prophecy:  Rev 19:10 ~  Which also contains the admonishment to worship only God, not mere men.  That could be the topic of another blog post, NTCC IDOLS...  *sigh*

Ex member's Heartbreaking Testimony of Her Life in The NTCC

We recently saw this public profile of a former ntcc child who calls herself "Ex member".  This story is so heartbreaking to read.  NTCC  really is an unhealthy environment that hurts you, your marriage, and your children.  Thank God she has survived this and, we pray, will continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the truth!  Here is her testimony in her own words:
I was born into NTCC in 1981.(St.Louis MO) My young childhood was fairly Then when I was five my father did something that the NTCC deemed unforgivable: he lost his job due o a injury he received in the military. Therefore was unable to pay as much tithe b4. This did not ruin my parents dedication to this organization. My father was encouraged to do what ever work he could which included hard manual labor(which he was advised by his doctor not to do). My mother during this time asked if she could get a part time job just to make sure her kids(my brother and I) were fed. she was told know that she needed to remain at home to support her husband, and with the other ladies at the church supporting gods wrk. She then asked if she could get gov. assistance (just medicaid for us she wasn't looking for a hand out)and was told that god was testing our loyalty to him. my father would often "junk" (drive or walk with shopping cart down alleys looking for metal to sell to salvage places) he would barely make enough money to keep us fed, but would still pay tithe. then it got worst, my mother tried to get away she took my brother and I half was across the USA o be with her sister, but my father found us and the pastor in STL at the time prsured him in to bringing hr back into the fold this lasted for 2 ms then she left again filed for divorce and lost custody of my brother and I. Due to the church convincing my father hat she would turn us evil if we were raised out side of NTCC. She only got visitation. And was constantly hassled about that. As I grew up with little to know positive female influence . I became very shy and introverted. When I was 14 I tried to commit suicide, i had recently been told by a church member that knew my parents when they got married that the marriage had not been blessed by NTCC and that was why it failed I took this to mean that my being alive wasn't blessed by NTCC and therefore god himself. i wrote god a letter asking him that if I was wrong please spare me but I was trying to fix all the wrongs that had happened to my family, I took every pill in my fathers med cabinet and went to bed 15 mins later I was in the bathroom puking them up. I believed god answered me and I wasn't a mistake. from them on I started to look at thing differently I noticed more than before how "after church huddles" would literally move away from my father when he tried to join a conversation. I also stared asking questions about the rules that made no since to me. Basically I was told to keep my place as female and I child. I knew at this point that I had to get away, but couldn't until legally old enough to be on my 1 month before my 18th birthday I ran away.
Once again, we thank God for sparing this young woman's life and pray that she can fully understand the love of God in a real way in her own heart and learn that she is very valuable and important!

And he took them up in his arms,
 put [his] hands upon them,
 and blessed them.

One Year Anniversary

 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
We just celebrated our first anniversary; and it has been a great year.  It's very hard to comprehend how, for so long,  the leaders of a cult could have kept us from this life that we are enjoying.  We are experiencing a portion of what we should have been experiencing all along over the past 21 years of our lives.

The truth is that we were meant to be together.  Back in 1990 there should have been nothing to keep us apart.  There was really no logical explanation for splitting us up.  I was doing everything that could be expected to help the local church in Colorado Springs and the pastor that was placed over it.  Ange was a new Christian and according to ntcc rules shouldn't have been pressured to go to bible school for at least a year.  She was rushed to Bible School because it was more important to our so called shepherd and his wandering wife to split us apart.

We have shared this story many times and will not rehash it all again; but I would like to share some of what happened to us in the aftermath and contrast that to how great we have it now that we are together as God intended.

Shortly after Ange was rushed off to Washington to obey the "calling of God" she was called back into the army because of operation Desert Shield/Storm.  I guess God, I mean the MOG (man of God) had it all wrong.  We were so indoctrinated that we couldn't see that this was all a big hoax.  Ange came back through Colorado Springs at some point during her deployment and left everything that I had ever given her in a pile. She had already torn up any pictures she had of me, in an effort to move on.  I knew she didn't hate me; but she was misled to believe that it was not God's will for us to be together.  I also had torn up all of her pictures and thrown away everything that reminded me of her.

 Don's Letterman's Jacket
We did not discuss these things.  We were not told to do this.  Like so many other implied rules  we were exhibiting learned behavior.  If any thing made us proud we should get it out of our lives.  I threw away my High School letterman's jacket for the same reason.  Is any of this healthy or necessary?  Is this what God meant when Jesus said that we were to take up our crosses and follow Him?

When we reconnected after twenty years we both realized how we had been manipulated.  I thought of Ange so many times through the years and often felt deprived and wondered what kind of a life I had missed out on.  We had so much in common and everything seemed so perfect and natural when we were together.  We thought alike and complimented each other in so many ways.

At Last by Etta James Video Link

Now that we are back together I realize that we missed out on a whole lot of life.  While things are going great for us, we often think about all of the lost years that we can never get back.  We choose to look at those years as a reminder of what the ntcc is all about and to remember those that are still inside the ntcc suffering much of the same.

There are countless  men involved with the ntcc that would be happily married, have families, and live normal lives IF they had attended ANY CHURCH other than ntcc.

Getting on with our life has included a burden for ntcc members that continue to suffer and for X members who are trying to pick up the pieces of their lives.  Is this a calling?  Perhaps; but it is also what any human being with decency would do to help those in danger.

 House and Back Deck
 Note the devil-dishes
Now we are enjoying life to the fullest.  Our relationship has exceeded our expectations; and we feel that God has not only blessed our union but all other areas of our lives.  I have a great steady job with very good benefits; we live in a very nice house; and we are enjoying life.  If we want to buy nice things for each other we do; if we want to spend more than $40 bucks per week on groceries we do; as a matter of fact we buy whatever we want when we want it.

We are not rich; but we don't live in poverty so a bunch of hypocritical Pharisees can live in the lap of luxury on our dime!

 Holding A Tiger Cub :o)
We also love being together.  We go places and do things that normal married couples do.  We also thank God for each other; and we are learning more and more to enjoy our lives.  All this normalcy, coupled together with God's blessings exposes the huge disparity between what is right and wrong in the ntcc.

We thank everyone for contributing to our blog.   We do have quite a few readers; and we thank you all for reading and participating at any level.  We hope also that what we share hit's home in some way.

Our mission has been to help people realize that they can have a relationship with God outside of the ntcc!

Christians were never meant to live under the condemnation of cult leaders and their false doctrines!

When you realize how false the ntcc doctrines are and how phony the leaders are by living according to different standards than what they demand of others, it reveals a more excellent Gospel of Grace that puts to shame the ordinances and Pharisaical rules of the ntcc. Because of this, we don't shy away from admonishing others of this destructive cult and its abusive ways. We are determined to make up for lost time by enjoying this life to the fullest!
