Please don't get offended at the title. If it makes you feel better, you can think of me as the dummy, because for so many years I was a big dummy in the ntcc. It took a lot to figure out what was really going on. I left the ntcc twenty years ago in 1996 and didn't really figure out that it was a cult until 2010. I was as brainwashed as a person could possibly be. They did a number on me. Man, was I ever messed up. My mind was completely full of mush and I believed everything I was told without really checking the facts. But looking back, I wasn't the Lone Ranger. We all drank the Kook-Aid and we all paid a price that we didn't have to pay. The same can be said for so many people that got themselves involved in cults.
There are a lot of churches and every one of them has their own doctrine. Each one believes that they are right. So how is a Christian supposed to navigate through the maze of religion? Your best chance is to ignore all of the churches and go to the source of our salvation which is Jesus and the words that He spoke. You pretty much have to believe the bible to be a Christian. There are many who will dispute that; but we wouldn't even know about Christ if it were not for the bible. There are many things in the bible that can be argued; and there are many who will twist the scriptures for their own advantage and unfortunately the ultimate goal for these people is money. You can tell the importance of doctrine in many churches by how much they emphasize individual topics.
The ntcc emphasizes tithe more than any other topic in the bible, and that is why we remind people of that fact so frequently. Everything that has to do with your Christianity in ntcc hinges on whether or not you pay tithe. If you don't pay tithe, you will never be welcomed or be allowed to feel comfortable in a New Testament Christian Church. You can not go to their Seminary if you do not pay your tithe. You will never be in any kind of leadership role if you do not pay your tithe. In the ntcc your Christianity is measured first and foremost by your tithing record. Is this biblical? Of course not. The Author of our salvation never told one person that tithing was necessary for a person to be saved.
The best advice that we could possibly give a person to help them sort all of this out, is to just keep it as simple as possible. For instance, we know that to be saved we have to confess our sins to God, not man, and ask forgiveness. If you confess with your mouth, The Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. This is so simple and easy, that most people think there has to be more to it. Getting saved is the easy part; but what about staying saved? This is where people make it difficult. This is where people have added false doctrines and rules that make your Christian life miserable. This is where the ntcc went overboard and created a system that goes beyond what God requires. If you look at their broken system you will have a better understanding why they have struggled to keep good people around for so many years. After almost 50 years of straining at gnats and swallowing camels, you can see that the ntcc gospel is not working the way that the gospel of Christ worked in the early church. They couldn't even keep Ashmore around after Davis died. What do they have left? Just Kekel and Olson. The rest are getting older and more stale as the years go by.
Why should ntcc have to add a bunch of rules to Christianity to make it palatable for the new Christian? It's no wonder why people leave the ntcc in such large numbers. They get a person genuinely saved; and then the first thing they teach the new Christian is to pay tithe. Then they tell them how to dress. Pretty soon they are telling them who they can talk to, who they can date, who they can visit, who their children can have over to their houses for birthday parties, what they can do with their spare time, what they can't do, who they can't be around, who they can't listen to and so on. Christianity is so simple a fifth grader can understand it. Kids are smarter than they get credit for. Unfortunately a lot of parents manipulate their kids and influence their beliefs at an early age. The ntcc taught that kids were a hindrance to the work of God. We can imagine how that must have made a lot of kids feel in the ntcc. Their parents probably regretted having them; and then they were blasted by Davis and made to feel that they were the reason that souls in their parents ministries were dying and going to hell. What a heavy burden for children to bear! But really, lets get back to the basics so that people can understand how simple it is. Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. How hard can that possibly be?
If you are struggling with all the junk you were taught in the ntcc, and you don't understand how you can possibly be a Christian, or if coming back to God seems like a daunting task or decision that you will never be able to make, please don't feel like you are alone on an island by yourself. I was there for 14 years. I allowed these ntcc thugs to convince me that if I left their church, I would be lost forever. That couldn't be further from the truth. God never stopped loving me, and He'll never stop loving you. They can corrupt your mind, your attitude and your testimony, but they can't stop God from loving you. You have to believe that God still cares about you before this barrier can be broken down. That was a revelation to me. I was so convinced that I had used up all of God's grace and I blamed myself for every inexplicable thing that ever happened in my life that I thought my situation was hopeless. But that's not how God saw the situation or me. God is love. So it's all about love, people. It's not about what you wear. It's not about eating your food with your fingers or a fork. It's not about wearing a white shirt, a paisley tie and a pair of wing tips. It's not about knocking on thousands of doors to try to find someone as gullible as you that will keep a bunch of man made rules and subject themselves and their families to cult doctrine. It's not about love bombing people and feeding them "free meals" to get their tithe. It all comes down to something far more personal that nobody has a right to question and that is your personal relationship and love for the One who first loved you and died for you.
Does this mean that everything is going to be peaches and cream? Nope it doesn't. That's where faith comes into play. You can't see God; but you believe that He's real; and you do your best to live for Him. That's all you can do. It might not be good enough for Davis or Kekel; but when you have done the best you can do, what more can be asked of you? We all fall short; and anyone who tells you that they can't remember the last time they sinned is lying to you. If we get knocked down, we get back up again. That's faith. None of what I'm saying is ground breaking or earth shattering. Christians have been living by faith since Jesus died. If anyone tries to convince you that there is any other way to live for God other than faith and love, don't be so quick to jump on their bandwagon. We really want people to succeed in Christianity; but your salvation is yours. It's a gift from God; and it's a wonderful gift. Nobody can take it away from you. Nobody can stop God from loving you. They can only get into your head and make you think that God doesn't care about you any more. They can only make you think that you are without hope. Why would anyone want to do that? Who would want that? satan.
You can call me a dummy when it comes to Christianity. I make my share of mistakes. I definitely don't have to go back that far to remember the last time I sinned. I'll take the dumbed down version any day over the confusing double standard version that the ntcc teaches. It's no wonder people are totally confused and perplexed about God. Keep it simple like Christ did.
"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Mat 18:2-3
You don't have to be a bible scholar or a rocket scientist to be a Christian.
"God chose the foolish things of this world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"
1 Cor 1:27
Who are the ones who God calls?
"For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:" 1 Cor 1:26
Do you think God intended for Christianity to be difficult? We don't. We think that people make it difficult. If people are making it difficult for you, perhaps you need to cut them out of your life so they can no longer interfere with your relationship with God. They are either for you or against you and if they are making it more difficult for you to live for God, it's not worth having them in your life.
March is Bible Appreciation Month. A proverb for each day of the month, and some New Testament sprinkled in for good measure. No commentary, just a couple of verses to reflect upon:
ReplyDeleteProverbs 2:10-11
"When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:"
2 Peter 2:1-3
"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
Although I understand what you meant, when it comes to NTCC keeping good people around, "struggled" isn't the right word. They have definitely failed in that regard, but then not only don't they struggle to keep people, they positively run them off over the stupidest things with their famous "there's the door" rhetoric. As long as they keep their uncaring attitude, it will continue to dawn on people that they are being exploited by a bunch of greedy control freaks. NTCC has the highest turnover of any church I've ever seen. Gesang was preaching once about this phenomenon (of course he spun it as "people don't want God"), and cited the statistic that in about a year at Graham, the diligent soulwinners had brought more than 800 people through the doors, of which a grand total of three remained at that time (and I believe they're all gone by now too).
ReplyDeleteIt's not a church--it's a toxic gang of narcissistic bullies. No amount of denial will forever obscure the startling contrast between the love and compassion Jesus displayed in the bible and the braying egotism of the NTCC pulpit thugs. Sincere people can only be deceived for so long; humility and self-doubt might lead them to excessive longsuffering, but even Dave Armour escaped after 34 years. You can too. Come out from among them! You will be happier, healthier, wiser, and more prosperous, as the universal testimony of those who have done so clearly indicates. The users will use you up if they can, so don't give them another penny or moment. Shake their dust from your feet and join those who know better.
Proverbs 3:28-29
ReplyDelete"Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee."
1 John 1:8
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
Mathew 16:4
"A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed."
No commentary here, after searching the New Testament for the ten percent tithes or hell doctrine, or the ministry of prosperity that davis claimed he preached, I could not find either one, and since both are closely related I thought that they would be found in the same book and chapter of one of the epistles but it was not there.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking today about the opposition we have faced on this blog. When very few people support what you say it's sometimes seems discouraging. We have a few people that comment regularly on this blog and then we have folks that pop in from time to time. On a lot of subjects, people agree. There are things that many of us will never agree on but on a lot of issues we let people have their say. When someone comes to the blogs and talks about issues like tithe, there are a lot of people that agree that tithe preaching was abused in the ntcc. Another topic that many seem to be okay with is relationships. Many will agree that the ntcc has destroyed a lot of relationships. We can call out Davis and other board members for their double standards in outward holiness. We can talk about how they have treated children. The blogs are filled with people who have testified of how awful the ntcc was when it comes to dictating how they should raise their children.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazes me is when someone starts testifying about sexual abuse, we get 50 times the amount of opposition then all of these other topics combined. People get outraged when we allow a victim of sexual abuse to share their testimonies on this blog. We have not been respecters of persons when it comes to allowing people to share what they experienced in the ntcc. Usually the only ones that argue about a persons experiences with common subjects that are shared on any of the blogs are ntcc'rs who are still in or a few people that have left and still sympathize with the ntcc leadership for what ever reasons. I remember when folks shared their outrage about Davis's adultery on Factnet, a lot of people chimed in and agreed with the author of those comments, and none of the anonymous witnesses from the PCOG churches were thrown under the bus by X-members for saying that Davis was an adulterer. When we allowed Julie, Lisa, Pam and Ken to share what they actually went through in the organization, a lot of people opposed us. Lisa's testimony was shared on Bruce Smith's Mountain News but only the condensed version and names were changed to protect the identities of individuals involved. All of the above mentioned individuals that have shared their experiences have stood by every thing that they have said, and not only have they owned it by identifying themselve, but they have never backed down from one issue. The ntcc has never denied any of the allegations that these folks have spoke of. Our crime has been that we have defended these people and allowed them to have their say. We have supported them and still do. We were wrongfully accused of kicking Mark G. and Kris M. off of our blog which is not true. We told them that we would not publish their deep criticisms of the abused persons on our blog and they kept trying and we kept deleting. We have always wanted this to be a safe place for victims of abuse to have their voices heard without being ridiculed. I personally was a victim of abuse and there were folks that hated it when I shared my own experiences. I know that the words "victim and abuse" are not very popular. People would much rather blame them than listen to them.
I can tell you that every word that I spoke about Rudy, Hummel, Broadnax and Nichelle Tieman was absolutely true. I didn't make up any of it, and I know there will be people who don't believe me. That doesn't change the fact that it was true. Julie, Lisa, Pam and Ken all did the exact same thing that I did; (that is they shared what they had been through); and nobody has ever come forward with any evidence that what they have shared was a misrepresentation of the truth, nor has the ntcc denied any of it. Ashmore was mentioned as an enabler in three of the four testimonies and in Julies case he was mentioned as a predator. For me it was not hard to believe their testimonies because of all of the horror stories we have heard from first hand witnesses. Many of these horror stories were shared on multiple blogs and were believed by many people. One of the most egregious accounts was that of Roland Moreno who was blasted by Ashmore for doing the right thing and reporting Phil Kinson's visit to a whorehouse. The Moreno family ended up dead in what was reported as a double murder suicide, in which the unborn baby whose heart stopped beating when Maria Moreno died, was ignored as a fetus rather than a human life or otherwise it would have been called a triple murder suicide.
ReplyDeleteHow dare we blame the ntcc for any of this stuff. We must be worse than the devil for exposing this cult for such things. These victims all made decisions to sin against God, just like dozens of ntcc preachers went out and got vasectomies for no reason at all. We all paid tithe for no reason at all also. Millions of our tithe paying dollars went towards mansions, sports cars, recreational vehicles, high end amenities and furnishings, creature comforts, expensive and wasteful spending on high priced clothing, guns and the list goes on. We actually gave to a worthless cause because God convicted us (sic) and who cares if a few preachers got rich? Nobody in the bible ever said anything bad about the rich, did they? Oops, did I just say what I said?
We have got to the point where we know too much. We have seen too much and we have heard too much. It all fits. It all exposes a pattern of sick behavior by cult leaders posing as spiritual giants in the ntcc. I don't really care what people think about us any more, because we have poured out our hearts into this blog and have done the right thing. We have not lied, we have not taken up collections so we could get rich, we have not abused anyone, we have not made up rules and expected others to live by them while we ignored them and we have not encouraged men and women to get divorced and abandon their families. We have not shied away from any topic and we have not ignored the needlessly abused.
Folks have excoriated us for speaking out and allowing others to speak out. People who once advocated for the Julie, Pam, Lisa and Ken have abandoned this cause so they could follow Ashmore, who played a pretty big roll in making these people miserable. Ashmore has never apologized or publicly addressed these issues. He has done nothing to vindicate himself and we believe this is because he was guilty of enabling the abuse at the very least. The only thing that you can truthfully say about Ashmore is that he no longer has to share his profits with the ntcc.
ReplyDeleteThe dynamic of people leaving one cult and quickly joining themselves to another completely amazes me. It seems like people have to have something that closely resembles the ntcc to replace the ntcc with. A lot of folks hung around in limbo for years talking about how sick Davis, Kekel and Ashmore were until Ashmore left and without doing any homework and without questioning his motives they immediately went whoring after him. They forsook every ounce of common sense and ignored every red flag and stampeded over to Ashmore. It's baffling to me. I can't understand it for the life of me. How do you fall for the same gag twice. How do you waste decades of your life following Ashmore, then get out and talk about how wicked he was, and then join forces with him when he gets out after his idol Davis dies? I'll never understand it in a million years. You turn off you brain for decades, then you escape and turn it on for the first time in eons, then one of the ones who caused you to shut off your brain in the first place, leaves and you shut off your brain again so you can follow him?
Are we supposed to be this naive and gullible? We might have been Christians in the ntcc, but we were not focused on God. We were so busy trying to fit in that we didn't see the danger that was staring us in the face. Once we were enlightened and experienced God without cult controls and rules it was like being freed from a prison. I can not fathom why anyone would want to go back to someone who perpetrated the bondage that took so long to escape from. Especially when that person does not even acknowledge his roll in an organization that he now calls the great whore.
Don and Ange said: "Are we supposed to be this naive and gullible?"
ReplyDeleteI believe groups like ntcc attract a higher percentage of just this type of person. Especially the ones that stay long term. Naive, gullible, with self esteem issues and psychologically drawn to a co dependant relationship dynamic.
And the brain washing goes deep. Years after leaving you might find yourself thinking in "ntcc mode" for a moment and go whoa? Where did that come from?
And some people are just born followers and long to be led.
Don and Ange said: "I can not fathom why anyone would want to go back to someone who perpetrated the bondage that took so long to escape "
ReplyDeleteSome people when realesed from prison would rather go back. It's all they've known and they're institutionalized. They're used to being told what to do and where to go and not used to making decisions for themselves. The responsibilities of the real world can seem overwhelming!
Freedom can be scary.
Proverbs 4:23
ReplyDelete"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
2 John 1:9
"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son."
March is bible appreciation month. Sharing scriptures that the ntcc has disregarded by their "Divorce on Demand" policy:
ReplyDeleteProverbs 5:18
"Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth."
Ephesians 5:25
"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"
Good Morning readers. We have made it a habit to point out hypocrisy within the ntcc, so that people who left the organization can find a small bit of consolation in the fact that they left a group of religious hucksters as opposed to leaving God's Church. God's church is not the ntcc, but is made up of true believers all around the world who live their lives for Christ and this involves being Christ-like. What does that mean? It means that there should be love in our hearts. Love for our families, love for others, even love for our enemies. I know that people think that we hate the people in the ntcc, but that's not true. We hate the ntcc, but love the ntcc'rs. If we didn't love them we would ignore than and let them continue to walk in deception. If we didn't love them, we wouldn't say anything about the hypocrisy of their leaders. If we didn't care about them we would allow them to continue living in deception and we would shut down our blog. Too bad this love is not reciprocated. If we were wrong, they would not be afraid to come on this blog and say, "My name is Brother so and so, and we love you but you are wrong". Paul, Peter, James, John and Jude identified themselves because they were not ashamed of what they had to say, but ntcc'rs are afraid to come on this blog and say who they are. They will use a false alias like "buddy" but they are afraid not of us, but of their own leaders finding out that they participated on this blog.
ReplyDeleteWe would like to see the ntcc change but that will never happen because it's leaders are too proud and too full of themselves to admit they were ever wrong. Those were just policies, not rules. They also do not want to draw attention to the fraud, waste and abuse that they have cultivated throughout the years. How hard would it be for Kinson to say, "I never visited a whore house". Instead he says, "I never slept with anyone but my wife". That's probably true. I doubt he fell asleep in the whore house. It's amazing to me that people like Kinson will commit the sins and try to cover them up with half truths, but they are afraid to cover them up with outright lies. What is the difference? I guess they don't want to purger themselves by flat out denying it. I guess that there are people in the organization that know it happened and Phil doesn't want those people to know that he is telling outright lies. Phil said "It's not adultery if you use a condom". Clinton said "I never slept with that woman". Sound familiar? Clinton got away with it, why shouldn't Philandering Phil get away with it?
So why do we bring this up so much? Is it because we take pleasure in the sins of others? I actually don't take any pleasure at all in Kinson's deception. I don't take any pleasure in exposing Kekel, Davis, Olson, Ashmore, Gesang or any of them. I think it would be better for all of us if they never existed, but the truth is that they do exist and they are oppressing people just like they oppressed us and they are turning a huge profit while doing so. The reason we do what we do is because they do what they do. When they stop, we will stop. They have publicly destroyed people for committing the same sins that they commit. They have run people off for adultery while hiding their own adultery.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a letter to Ashmore and published it on this blog. He claimed that he never seen it, so another X-member and minister called him up and read it to him and asked him about it. Ashmore said that he never was privy to any of the financial corruption, and he denied Julie's allegations, but he would not address his role in the Moreno deaths, the preferential treatment and cover up of known homosexuals in the ntcc that was exposed by Bro. Ken and his involvement in the excommunication of a pregnant 15 year old girl who was raped by Johnny Jordan, among other issues that we wanted Ashmore to answer for. How dare we expect Ashmore to address these issues. Ashmore covered for Johnny Jordan because Davis demanded it of him, while Ashmore would not cover for Helen's own son Larry Duran who ran off with Penny Hampton and had a quiver full of kids and everybody in the ntcc was forbidden to speak of it.
My question is, "Why should Ashmore get a free pass just because he left the ntcc after Davis died?" Should we all just be naive and assume that the Ashmore is pure as the wind driven snow because he has left and he now calls the ntcc 'the great whore'? I'm sure Ashmore would like everyone to support him with their tithes and offerings while believing that he was always the only one in the ntcc that was right all along. Let's just ignore the hypocrisy and stand idly by while Ashmore continues to profit off of the gullible people who follow him. Oops, we just committed another unforgivable sin in questioning the 'Walking Bible' and the 'Preaching Machine'.
You see, in the ntcc, you don't have to live right, you just have to bring in money and numbers. If you know the bible and can preach up a storm, you are untouchable, no matter what you do as long as you are loyal to them. I know that we should just ignore all of this stuff and let it go because we are just bitter X-ers and surely we have no right to question the great Ashmore. How dare anyone ask Ashmore to give an answer for his deeds. After all, many X-ers love him and have been welcomed to participate in his private blog and Facebook page. People that used to run blogs against him are now close friends with Ashmore and Helen and would never think to expect an answer from him on any of these issues. The nerve of us.
The ntcc exists and therefore we blog. We are hated by a lot of people. We are ignored and marginalized, which is okay by us. We are not doing this to win a popularity contest. This blog is a reflection of it's participants. We contribute our own opinions and experiences, but 99% of the content of this blog has come from folks who have shared their own experiences on this blog and others. We wouldn't have opinions if people hadn't shared their testimonies publicly on Factnet and the blogs. There are people who comment regularly and there are those who visit and we never hear from them again. There are people who have poured out their hearts and signed their names to their testimonies and have been talked about like dogs by people whose own testimonies were never questioned or criticized. We try to protect them, and have been accused of spreading dirt and lies by some of our own contributors. The fact remains that we are an X-er blog and we are here for anyone who has been hurt by the ntcc and has not been allowed to speak their minds in the past. There are other accounts that we have not published because the contributors would not identify themselves or we agreed not to publish their testimonies to protect their kids or because we did not want to compromise their court cases.
ReplyDeleteWe hope that people will understand that our ultimate goal is to shed light on the deeds of the ntcc board members and long time enablers of corruption and double standards. Please remember that the ntcc was never required to produce a shred of evidence when they publicly humiliated people and ran them off for their sins. People were destroyed and left spiritually bereft with no hope and anyone who tried to help them were beat down and forced to choose between blindly following the money grubbing hypocrites or suffering shame with their fallen comrades.
In the midst of all the confusion there has also been a lot of support and many people have thanked us. We are not claiming to be saviors to anyone and we don't require credit or Kudos for anything. It is rewarding to us when people refuse to allow the ntcc to dictate the conditions of their salvation to them and they find freedom from ntcc tyranny in the face of all the lies and abuse that they suffered at the hands of the ntcc cult educated creeps. We know that people have been completely turned off by religion because of the hypocrisy and double standards of the ntcc. We understand that people recover from cult experiences in different ways and not everybody want's to dive into Christianity after they have been burned by the phony hypocrites. We think it is a huge step in the right direction just to escape from the ntcc cesspool and find deliverance from the corruption. You have to have control of your own life and decisions and it takes a lot of time to trust anyone after being burned. Many can't deal with this and they look for a replacement to fill in for the ntcc experience that ended up making many people feel like they lost out on God. Along comes Ashmore and people shut off their brains again, losing any ground that they've gained in recovering from their cult experience. Ashmore is a wolf in sheep's clothing and as long as there are suckers out there who will buy into his bill of goods, he will continue to make merchandise off of the people of God.
We call out the ntcc leadership for their unrepentant sins because they made our sins a huge spectacle for years in the ntcc. However, we do not do this to make X-members of the ntcc feel like they should live in guilt for anything they have done. We are not the ones that get behind a pulpit every Sunday and take up collections while preaching hell fire and brimstone, while calling out the the very sins of others that they are guilty of. We are not the ones living in million dollar mansions in Graham while they drive a Mercedes McLaren that is worth over a quarter million dollars, or jet setting off on an all expense paid vacations anywhere in the world that they desire to go, unaccountable to anyone, any time they want under the guise of fleecing, Oops, I mean 'feeding' the flock. We do hold them to a much higher standard than we hold the abused former members of the ntcc to. The only people we preach morals to are the ntcc hypocrites and their sympathizers who seem to think that they are exempt from anyone calling them out on their hypocrisy. We don't condemn X-ers for their sins because we actually believe that God is merciful and hears the prayers of those who have been down trodden and forsaken by the religious extremists in the ntcc. We call out the pompous and arrogant cult leaders who are profiting off of the misery of others.
ReplyDeleteProverbs 22:16
"He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want."
You can't make this stuff up. It's in the bible and the ntcc has flagrant and brazen disregard for scriptures that apply to them. They preach whatever is convenient for them and they use God's word to divide people and destroy families. As long as their precious money keeps flowing everything is great. Don't dare upset the ntcc's financial apple cart or you will become their next casualty.
Bryan sent us this link of David Wilkerson, who was the author of the Cross and The Switchblade. He died in a car crash about 5 years ago and his wife of 58 years followed him in death the a year later. In a comment I read under the story of his death, a person said that he had attended a recent event in which David Wilkerson ministered to a crowd of people. He testified that people would walk into the church and be moved to tears by the love that they felt before the message was ever given. David Wilkerson always seemed to have great love for the people of God and those who didn't know God. He wasn't all about humiliating people, but when he ministered he had a way that translated love to the people. I know there are a lot of hucksters out there but I've never felt like this guy was all about money and notoriety. Thanks Bryan for sharing this and those who believe in prayer it wouldn't hurt to pray for each other. Say a prayer for Bryan because he could use it, I'm sure, and if you run out of things to pray for, pray for us, because we also could use it. If you haven't prayed in a long time because you don't think God is listening, don't accept that lie. Pray anyway because God is merciful and loves us and wants us to pray. If we love God, we should love one another and pray for each other. We believe that prayer really works and that if it wasn't for someone else's prayers we would be so lost.

They are now doing pie raffles in the ntcc and recording them on Youtube. I noticed how a pants wearing female church member was selected to get the pie in the face rather than the dress wearing Pastor's wife. Even more out of place was the fact that they had a child smash the pie in the woman's face and what seemed to be the pastor was egging the child on to rub it all over her face but seemed disappointed that the child didn't do a good enough job. Was all that really worth the few bucks that they raised? This is another event that would have been classified as a sin back in the day. Davis would have said that "God chose the foolishness of preaching to save the lost, not pie raffles or pot luck dinners". While Davis was alive every thing he said was considered inspired by God, but now folks are mocking his remembrance with their rebellious attitudes toward his teachings. They have done just like Davis predicted. They are all compromisers and as Davis prophesied that they would no longer keep the holiness standards after he died, we see that it surely has come to pass. Perhaps they were following a man instead of God. Who are they following now?
