Matt and Debbie Reed Have Left ntcc for GOOD! And They Still Serve and Love God! Amazing!

My NTCC Org Experience: Debbie and Matt Reed were given Puka Shell necklaces which and posed for a pic. When NTCC used this pic in their rag, The Trumpet, NTCC edited the pic, removing the necklaces. LAME.
 While missionaries with NTCC
Debbie and Matt Reed were given
 some Puka Shell necklaces.
 When NTCC used their picture
in their rag, The Trumpet, the
 NTCC removed the necklaces.
 That's lame -- and hypocritical.
If Davis and others could wear
 Diamond Pinky Rings like pimps,
 and Ashmore could wear flashy
 cufflinks, what's the problem
 with some simple necklaces?

FLOWER CHILDREN?  MATT and DEBBIE REED?

Matt and Deb Reed have fired up their blog again and they can be found blogging at:

http://www.onelessstone.blogspot.com/

It's great to have another voice of reason to testify of the blessings of God that can be experienced outside of the ntcc. Many people struggle with the transition of leaving the ntcc; and it's expected that making the life changing step to leave the ntcc is never an easy decision.  The fact that the Reeds made this transition and are sharing their experiences is a testimony:  There is salvation outside of the ntcc! Not only do they testify that there is life beyond the ntcc; but they also speak of the increase of God's blessings upon their lives; which seems to be the theme among many X-ers. When we let go of the legalism and control policies we find freedom and peace in our hearts, greater finances, and improvement in every area of our lives.
The Reed's blog is a great place to visit and has their personality written all over it; as you can see from the recent picture they posted:  "It's All About The Love".  More of their heart is revealed in a moving post titled "We Will Never Forget" dedicated to a very good man named SSgt. Daniel Morris.  He gave his life for the freedom and prosperity that we enjoy in this great country we live in.  We never knew the man; but we offer our condolences to the ones he loved and to those that loved him as a son that they never had [read more here].  We also share the same scripture inscribed on SSgt. Daniel Morris' Memorial:

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13) here

Jesus called his disciples and followers "friends". I can say, being with the Reeds at a time when I needed a change of pace, that they were and always will be friends! The ntcc did not treat them or any of their disciples as friends; but they controlled us for reasons of power and financial gain. This is and was unthinkable to us. We had real salvation and experienced a reality in God; but in our innocence we were very easy to influence and manipulate. The ntcc used us, taking advantage of our innocence, manipulating us for the financial gain of a select few, "that bunch" in Graham, Washington. We thank God for everyone that escapes from the ntcc and especially those that maintain their walk with God despite ntcc abuse!

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for the kind words. Ange is the research crew, graphics engineer and is responsible for all of the stuff that's on our blog. She does all the work and I just post a comment now and then. She really completes me in so many ways and I'm so glad that God saw fit to bring us back together.

We spend a lot of time on your blog as you know because that is the happening place in the blogosphere. We don't get a whole lot of comments on our blog but we get lots of traffic and we also get contacted by people that have left the ntcc. Our message is that the ntcc is a cult and that the leadership of the ntcc are cult leaders. We feel it is our duty to expose them and we believe that as they were relentless in their blasting of people and cruel treatment of those that were loyal to them, that we in turn do not back down from them and will show them the same courtesy that they showed to us.

People have been mistreated by the ntcc for decades and we know it is not of God. While some on the inside are trapped as we were, they will continue to go along with them out of fear. It's not until they hear the whole awful truth that can be found on these blogs that their eyes will be opened to the spiritual atrocities that they have committed.

They held nothing back while they preached lies about people and they were not careful when it came to running folks off. They have split families up and caused people to forsake relatives and abstain from having families of their own. They have taken that which is pure and defiled it using the name of Jesus for financial gain and dishonestly represented the gospel.

We also appreciate you and your wife and are glad to have you as friends. I still remember when your wife commented on the pork chop whisker thread and I was honored that she jumped into the mix on that subject.

Take care and keep up the good work.

Jeff,

Thanks for the kind words. I agree that Greg and Deb's blog has awesome research, so they get the kudos for that! double-D and Vic have also posted some great stuff exposing cult tactics. And April / Christian Mom has been a loyal supporter. Your blog is the hot spot for talk! You've certainly been at this for a while, and we also appreciate your work and the way you keep things balanced and focused. Keep up the good work!

Okay, this is too funny. This shows how much Don and I think alike. I answer Jeff's comment, then scroll down and see that Don started his comment to Jeff with the exact same phrase! LOL! We really do go together like a hand in a glove.

Don, thanks for the nice things you've said about my blogging; but I wouldn't have gone public with the blog if you hadn't started it and kept at it! Plus many of the main topics are done by you, so I think you deserve credit there too.

Being a chic I love the whole Jerry McGuire, "You complete me." thing =D Of course, the same is true for me. You have far surpassed every expectation I had for a husband; and I'm not just saying that! I really mean it. I truly pray every woman could have a husband as wonderful as you are!

Love you Don!

from the link "ntcc abuse", M.D. Reed said,

To Deb's post I say, AMEN, AMEN, and AMEN! We went and were willing to go anywhere and do anything that was asked of us by NTCC leadership for the last 23 years or so, and now all of a sudden our name is muuuudddd. Maybe our name was mud all along. ;-) Could it be that everyone's name is mud, but some just don't know it yet?

Let me just say, there is no leaving NTCC in good standing, no matter how nice you are or how much you have done in the past. You will be branded if you leave, and this is for damage control. Is this how a healthy church/ organization operates? You decide.

Our decision to leave NTCC was actually made back in '07, after putting up with years of psychological abuse. The reason we did not leave at that time is for the same reason a lot of people don't make the break when they start having thoughts of leaving. We struggled, as others did and are doing right now, over the decision to leave or stay. Let me say that in the end, it was harder to stay than it was to leave. For us the struggle is over, and we know we made the right choice. God has done nothing but bless us since our departure from NTCC in January.

We continually told ourselves, God, I don't want to think this way about what is going on, but it seemed so wrong. Maybe if I pray more, maybe it's not really the way it seems, as we were taught to believe in BS. But the more that we prayed, the more our eyes were opened to the abuse that continues unto this day by NTCC leadership.

Our hearts were broken by the man himself in November 2006. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. We were laboring in Ft. Hood, TX, and a very dear brother who lived in the home by the name of Daniel Morris was killed in Iraq. When the news came to us, I called my pastor, who also knew Daniel personally. I apologized when I realized I woke him up from a Sunday afternoon nap. I then informed him that our dear brother had been killed in Iraq. His response was simply, I already knew. Tieman told me. There was no comfort of love or any semblance that he was concerned with the matter. The point was made, he already knew. My question in this was, why didn't Tieman call me or Pastor as soon as they got the word, at least to find out if I knew yet or offer sympathy or whatever.

At 3:00 a.m. the following morning, the phone rang, and it was my pastor with a rambunctious, let's fellowship. I just thought I'd call and wake you up. I asked him, pastor is this all you called for and I was crying at that point. He said, yes, go back to sleep. Talk to you later. He was returning the favor of my waking him up from his nap.

When I hung up the phone, my wife and I laid in the bed crying, thinking how could our pastor be so cruel. My wife still cries over this because Daniel was a son to us, and we will never forget this.

RWD did call the next afternoon to offer his condolences, but his words were simply, I wanted to finish my mourning over this man, and then call you. It was too little, too late. The damage had been done. I couldn't believe this was the response from the man who I had been calling pastor for so many years.

About a month later we went to a fellowship meeting in Houston, where Pastor was in attendance. We came down for breakfast at the hotel and I was wearing a memorial button that had been made with Daniel's photo on it. As I approached pastor, he looked down at my lapel and saw the button. I will never forget his words, when are you going to let that man die?

I was crushed again beyond measure that these words were coming out of this man's mouth, and my thought was, when you let C.L. Barnes and Mom and Pop Gaylord die. It was at that point, that I never looked at the man -- the one I loved and admired so dearly -- the same and he ceased to be my pastor.

There is more to come.

WOW! I'm amazed Reed didn't leave then and there. He should've decked the guy!

The mUckRakers say,

"WOW!" indeed! We both cried (Ange many times) as we read through Matt Reed's sad testimony of davis' cruelty. Who would ever dare to say to someone grieving over someone they loved as a son, "When are you gonna let that man die?" as r. w. davis cruelly said to Matt Reed!

The mUckRakers say,

It is shocking what davis said and did to the Reeds who went everywhere and did everything for the Lord while in ntcc. Matt must be a Christian; otherwise he probably would have leveled rdub.

However long it took the Reeds to leave the ntcc, we are glad that they made The Great Escape =D and pray they enjoy serving the Lord in Spirit and in Truth; for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY.

Hey you guys. I didn't know about Matt and Debbie's blog. I found it because of the link you have posted here. I left a message there but I didn't slam the NTCC because I know they don't want that on their blog and I can respect that. There is plenty of slamming that can be done on ours. Thanks so much for all the research you guys do. I find so much that I don't or didn't know about when I come here. I'm kind of lazy when it comes to digging up additional info. You guys are the research crew. Greg is great about that kind of stuff also. Together we are all getting the word out. I really believe what we are doing is working and there are tangible results. People are leaving the NTCC slowly but surely.

I really appreciate you guys and y'all take care.

Jeff
